Berger Paints India Limited held a postal ballot on two proposed board appointments, but the available filings do not establish whether shareholders approved them. The company’s board appointed Navjeet Singh Sobti as an Independent Director and Amardeep Jain as a Whole-time Director, each subject to shareholder approval. The e-voting period ended on 6 October 2026; no verified voting result or totals were available by 7 October 2026.

What shareholders were asked to approve

The two resolutions concerned different roles at Berger Paints India Limited:

  • Navjeet Singh Sobti: appointment as an Independent Director.
  • Amardeep Jain: appointment as a Whole-time Director.

The board-appointed terms for both nominees were five years, from 1 September 2026 through 31 August 2031. Those appointments were subject to shareholder approval; the board’s action alone does not establish the outcome of the ballot. FolioPulse’s filing-history summary reports the appointments and term dates.

When the postal ballot took place

Berger Paints’ notice set the remote e-voting window from 7 September 2026 at 9:00 a.m. IST to 6 October 2026 at 5:00 p.m. IST. The eligibility cut-off date was 28 August 2026. The notice said results would be announced no later than two working days after voting closed. BazaarWatch’s announcement mirror surfaced the ballot timetable and resolution details.

Has shareholder approval been confirmed?

Not from the result information available by 7 October 2026. The material located confirms that the ballot was held and states the deadline for announcing results, but it does not provide an official result filing or vote percentages. It is therefore not possible to report either appointment as shareholder-approved or rejected, or to give a vote margin.

Berger Paints’ official Investor Download page lists investor disclosures, including postal-ballot materials and e-voting results. The specific result was not exposed in the indexed page information available at the time noted above. An official result disclosure is needed to verify the outcome.
