CHOICE says the model was tested in 2023 or earlier, but its accessible page restricts the expert rating, cooking-performance results, ease-of-use score, low- and high-heat results, turn-down score, boil time, and listed good and bad points to members. The public information therefore confirms that a review exists, but it does not establish whether CHOICE rated the cooktop well or poorly. No performance conclusion should be inferred from the specifications alone.

Controls and everyday features
The manual identifies an on/off key, setting selector, booster/child-lock key, pause key, four zone displays and an automatic cooking timer. This gives the cooktop core controls for adjusting a zone, temporarily pausing, using the booster function and setting a timer. The manual does not, in the information available here, establish more detailed timer behavior or the control layout beyond those named functions.
The manual says the touch-control area switches off with a warning beep if a key is held for more than ten seconds, an object is left on the controls, or liquid spills on them. It also warns against leaving metallic objects such as cutlery and lids on the hob because they may heat. If the ceramic glass cracks, the instruction is to disconnect the appliance from mains and contact after-sales service.

- Although induction itself is a noiseless process, there may be high pitched sounds from the cookware due to multiple layers of metals sandwiched together. Please allow the induction cooker to cool down before cleaning
Will your pans work?
They need a magnetic base: induction heats compatible cookware through magnetic interaction, and the retailer specifically states that this cooktop works only with cookware made from magnetic material. A pan that is non-magnetic will not be suitable. The retailer’s DEIND604 listing includes the compatibility guidance. Check your existing pans rather than assuming that a set marketed for other cooktop types will work.
Who should consider it
The DEIND604 may suit someone looking for a four-zone, 60 cm built-in induction cooktop whose cookware, worktop opening and electrical setup match the listed requirements. The published zone sizes range from 160 to 250 mm, so compare them with the bases of the pots and pans you use most. If high-heat speed, low-heat control or ease of use is decisive, seek access to complete independent test results rather than treating the manual’s power figures as a substitute for cooking tests.

- Fit: Compare the cooktop’s listed 58 × 51 cm overall dimensions and 55 × 48 cm installation dimensions with your worktop and the documentation for your market.
- Electrical supply: Have a qualified installer confirm that your supply and installation meet local requirements; do not assume the 7.4 kW maximum capacity alone establishes compatibility.
- Cookware: Confirm that the pans you intend to use have magnetic bases.
- Evidence: If cooking performance is central to your decision, distinguish CHOICE’s public specifications from its member-only scores and findings.
- Local terms: Verify current price, stock and warranty with the seller for your region; the cited public information does not establish current market-specific terms.
