Those figures are platform or service starting prices, not a complete hiring budget: the right cost depends on the worker relationship, location, payroll and statutory costs, and quote-specific terms. Here’s how the plans differ, how contractor fees are billed, and what to check before choosing.
Deel’s published starting prices in 2026
Deel’s public pricing page lists these starting amounts. They are not interchangeable plans: each corresponds to a different service and worker arrangement.

What the service categories mean
Find Talent
Find Talent is the talent-search option in the pricing lineup. Its starting price is separate from the fees for engaging a contractor or employing someone through another Deel service.

Contractor management
This service is for engaging independent contractors and managing their contracts and payments. Deel’s contractor service page provides its product context. Contractor management is not the same arrangement as employing a worker through EOR.
Contractor of Record
Contractor of Record is positioned for customers seeking greater support with contractor classification and compliance. The $325 starting price is for that service category; it should not be treated as equivalent to the $49 contractor-management fee simply because both involve contractors.

EOR
Employer of Record (EOR) lets a company employ a full-time worker without establishing its own local entity in that location. Deel states that its EOR service covers 130+ countries. That is vendor-stated coverage, not independent verification that every role or arrangement is available in every location; check the specific country and circumstances.
US PEO
A Professional Employer Organization (PEO) arrangement involves co-employment through the customer’s US entity. Deel says US PEO is available in all 50 states. Confirm the service’s availability and terms for your business and state before relying on that coverage claim.

How Deel contractor fees are charged
The $49 starting price is not necessarily billed only in months when a contractor receives a regular payment. Deel’s Help Center article, updated January 28, 2026, explains that billing depends on the contract type and activity:
- Fixed contracts: $49 for each active contract per month.
- Pay-as-you-go contracts: billed in months when work is submitted, or when an adjustment or one-off payment is associated with the contract.
- Milestone contracts: billed for each month with an active milestone.
Deel counts each calendar month in which a contract is active. Its example says a contract active from March 15 through May 15 counts for March, April, and May. The Help Center also says Deel may charge up to $5 for an active contract with no recorded payments for two consecutive months. See the full contractor billing explanation for the applicable details.

- TAX & BUSINESS FUNCTIONS – Includes cost/sell/margin, mark-up/mark-down, tax calculation keys, and currency exchange for quick financial operations.
- BIG DISPLAY & EASY INPUT – Features a 12-digit LCD and large, clearly spaced plastic keys for comfortable, accurate data entry.
- UPGRADED DESIGN – New version of the HR-100TM, ideal for taxes, bookkeeping, and accounting with clock/calendar printouts, subtotal & grand total, and percent functions.
Why the starting price is not the total hiring cost
A monthly service fee does not, by itself, establish the total cost of hiring or paying a worker. For EOR in particular, the management fee is distinct from salary and statutory employer costs. Deel describes service elements such as local compliance, payroll, and benefits administration, but what is included in a particular quote—and what is billed separately—must be confirmed for that setup.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteBefore comparing offers, ask Deel for an itemized quote for the relevant country or US state and worker arrangement. Check the recurring service fee, payroll or salary amounts, statutory employer contributions, benefits, and any extra charges or exceptions. The distinction between the EOR management fee and employer costs is also discussed by EOR Select, whose page was updated September 1, 2026.

How to decide which Deel service fits
- Define the relationship first. Is the worker an independent contractor, or will they be a full-time employee? A lower contractor fee does not make contractor management an alternative to employment where employment is the intended relationship.
- Identify who will employ the worker. If you have a local entity and are hiring in the US, ask whether US PEO fits your co-employment arrangement. If you lack a local entity for an international employee, ask about EOR. For an independent contractor, compare contractor management with Contractor of Record based on the level of classification and compliance support you need.
- Confirm location and role availability. Request confirmation for the specific country or state and the worker’s role; broad coverage counts do not settle availability for an individual case.
- Compare the billing basis. For contractor management, determine the contract type and which active months, work submissions, milestones, adjustments, or one-off payments trigger charges.
- Review the itemized quote. Separate Deel’s service fee from salary, statutory employer costs, benefits, and any other quoted charges before comparing providers or arrangements.
What this review can—and cannot—say about Deel
TechRadar’s review dated September 14, 2025 describes Deel as a broad software and services suite, but its reported prices predate the official 2026 pricing page and should not be used as current rates. It offers dated context, not a current price list; see the TechRadar review.
Available review snippets do not establish a representative, methodologically robust sample of user experiences or a reliable 2026 satisfaction score. A broad verdict about user consensus would therefore go beyond the evidence. For a buyer, the more actionable evaluation is whether the relevant service matches the intended worker relationship, whether it is available for the location, and whether the itemized quote fits the total employment or contractor budget.
