Cursor’s individual plans range from free Hobby to $200/month Ultra. Pro costs $20/month and Pro+ costs $60/month; there are also team plans, a custom-priced Enterprise option, and an India-only Start plan. The right tier depends less on a promised number of “credits” or tasks than on which models you use, how often you use Agent, and whether you need team administration. Prices and plan details below reflect Cursor’s published pages checked October 7, 2026; confirm the checkout amount and current terms before subscribing.
Cursor plans and prices in 2026
Cursor’s published prices are subscription rates, not guarantees of a fixed number of prompts or completed tasks. Applicable taxes may be added to prices outside the India-specific Start plan. Cursor lists Start at a tax-inclusive price.

Cursor documents two separately tracked monthly usage pools for Pro, Pro+, and Ultra. They are not interchangeable labels for one fixed allowance: your selected model affects how quickly included usage is consumed.

The pools reset with the billing cycle, and Cursor says the dashboard displays usage and remaining allowances. The Start plan is an exception to the two-pool arrangement: it includes the Cursor Models pool only. See Cursor’s Models & Pricing documentation and usage and limits help page.
Cursor does not publish a stable conversion from plan price or allowance to tasks per month. Task volume varies with model choice and workload, so a task-count estimate without those details would be misleading.

What happens when included usage runs out?
For individual users, Cursor says on-demand usage must be explicitly enabled. When included usage is exhausted, you can allow additional usage at applicable API rates, move to a plan with higher included limits, or leave on-demand usage disabled so requests stop when the included amount is used.

Cursor cautions that enforcement is not instant, so charges may briefly exceed the limit before the system recognizes it. If tight cost control matters, check the usage dashboard during the billing cycle rather than treating the limit as a real-time hard stop. Details are in Cursor’s usage-based charges documentation.

For Teams, Cursor says on-demand usage is enabled by default; administrators can disable it or set team spend limits. Cursor also notes that some third-party requests on Teams and Enterprise incur a Cursor Token Rate in addition to model API fees. Review the current terms before comparing business-plan costs with individual plans.
Which Cursor plan should you choose?
Cursor’s own guidance recommends Pro+ for daily Agent users and Ultra for Agent power users. That is the vendor’s recommendation, not an independent benchmark. Use your actual model mix and usage, rather than the plan name alone, to judge whether the higher subscription is worthwhile.

- Choose Hobby to explore Cursor without a subscription if its limited Agent usage is enough for your needs.
- Choose Pro as the entry paid tier if you expect its included limits to cover your work. Watch actual usage before upgrading.
- Consider Pro+ if you use Agent daily and want the published three-times-Pro Agent limits.
- Consider Ultra for heavy Agent use when the higher price is justified by its published twenty-times-Pro Agent limits.
- Choose Teams if centralized billing, administration, team usage visibility, SSO, or shared team features are important. Standard is $40/user/month; Premium is $120/user/month and has five times Standard’s Agent limits, according to Cursor.
- Consider Enterprise if your organization needs custom arrangements or features such as pooled usage, invoicing, SCIM, priority support, or advanced access and security controls. Pricing is custom.
Compare four things before committing: subscription price, included Agent and model usage, possible on-demand charges and their controls, and whether you need team administration or security features. Cursor’s current pricing page describes its recommendations and plan features.

Teams and Enterprise usage terms
Cursor says Enterprise usage can be pooled among users under the same account number. Its Pricing Policy, last updated August 21, 2026 according to the cited page, defines precommitted usage as a minimum usage-fee commitment and says unused precommitted usage does not roll over into a later service term. Enterprise order forms and any separate pricing agreement govern the customer’s arrangement.

How plan changes affect billing
Cursor’s billing help says an individual-plan upgrade takes effect immediately. Any credit is based on unused included usage, not on the number of days left in the billing period. A downgrade is scheduled for the end of the current period. Manage an individual subscription through the Cursor billing dashboard and verify the account’s billing screen for current checkout terms; see Cursor’s pricing and plans help page.
Where to buy a Cursor subscription
Cursor says subscriptions are sold through its official website and that third-party sellers are unauthorized. Buy through Cursor rather than relying on a listing from an outside seller; see the statement on Cursor’s pricing page.
