In Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge on desktop, Ctrl+Shift+D saves the open tabs in the browser window as bookmarks or favorites. On Mac, use Command+Shift+D. It keeps a group of pages together for later; it does not make them open automatically when you start the browser.
What Ctrl+Shift+D does in each browser
The shortcut is documented for desktop use. The saved links go into a folder, though the exact wording and folder options differ by browser.

Use the shortcut in the browser window containing the tabs you want to keep. Firefox’s documentation explicitly says the action applies to the current window; the cited help pages do not establish that the shortcut gathers tabs from multiple windows.

How to save all your open tabs
- Switch to the browser window with the pages you want to save.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+D on Windows, ChromeOS, or Linux, or Command+Shift+D on Mac.
- If the browser presents folder options, name the folder or choose its destination as appropriate, then confirm.
For example, you can save a research session or trip-planning window as one folder of page links and reopen the pages later.

Save tabs without using the shortcut
In Chrome, open More > Bookmarks > Bookmark All Tabs to save the open tabs through the menu instead. Google Chrome tips also describes startup-page settings as a separate feature: bookmarking tabs preserves their links, but does not configure Chrome to open them at startup.
Where the shortcut applies
The cited documentation covers desktop browser usage. It does not establish that the same key combination works in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge mobile apps. Shortcut behavior can also differ if a user has customized keyboard mappings.
