Windows may display one of these messages when CorelDRAW cannot load crlfomui100.dll:

- Open Control Panel.
- Select Programs and Features.
- Double-click the installed CorelDRAW suite.
- Choose Repair.
- Complete the wizard and restart Windows.
Corel’s repair process is designed to restore missing or damaged program files, shortcuts, and registry entries. If Repair is unavailable or does not work, reinstall the same CorelDRAW release using the original media, your Corel account, or an official Corel installer.
Do not download this DLL from a random DLL website or copy it into C:WindowsSystem32. That can provide the wrong build, the wrong architecture, or a modified file while leaving the damaged CorelDRAW installation unresolved.

This is the primary fix because the missing file belongs to CorelDRAW rather than Windows.
Repair from Control Panel
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type
appwiz.cpl. - Press Enter.
- Find CorelDRAW Graphics Suite or the installed CorelDRAW product.
- Double-click it.
- Select Repair or Uninstall/Change, then choose Repair.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Restart Windows.
- Start CorelDRAW again.
The exact product name and wizard wording can differ between CorelDRAW releases. If the wizard offers to preserve user settings, keep them unless you are deliberately troubleshooting a damaged workspace.
If CorelDRAW opens but behaves incorrectly
A damaged workspace can cause startup or interface problems, but resetting it does not replace missing program files.
To reset the workspace, hold F8 while starting CorelDRAW and confirm the reset when prompted. This removes workspace preferences and restores default interface settings. Use the full Repair process when the error specifically names crlfomui100.dll.
How to tell whether Repair worked
Repair succeeded if:
- CorelDRAW starts without the DLL message.
- The Fill or Outline interface opens normally.
- The error does not return after restarting Windows.
- CorelDRAW still appears in Programs and Features.

Do not delete random Corel folders or registry keys before uninstalling. Corel’s clean-reinstallation instructions identify which remnants, if any, should be removed for a particular release.

- Open Control Panel → Programs and Features.
- Select the CorelDRAW suite.
- Choose Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.
- Complete the removal process.
- Restart Windows.
- Sign in to your Corel account or use the original installation media.
- Download or launch the installer for the same CorelDRAW release.
- Right-click the installer and select Run as administrator.
- Complete the installation.
- Restart Windows again.
- Start CorelDRAW and test the operation that previously failed.
Use an installer obtained from Corel or your legitimate original media. Avoid a standalone crlfomui100.dll download because it may not match the installed CorelDRAW generation or the application’s architecture.
If the installer is old, the program may still encounter licensing, compatibility, or other obsolete dependency problems after the missing file is restored. That does not prove that crlfomui100.dll itself is incompatible with a particular Windows 10 or Windows 11 build.
Fix 3: Check whether antivirus quarantined the file
Security software may remove an application file after an update, disk scan, or suspected false positive.
Check Windows Security
- Open Start.
- Type Windows Security.
- Open it.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Choose Protection history.
- Review recent detections involving the CorelDRAW installation folder or
crlfomui100.dll. - Open the detection details and record the detection name and original file path.
Do not restore the file simply because CorelDRAW needs it. Restore it only when you can verify that:
- The file came from the original Corel installer or trusted Corel media.

Open the CorelDRAW shortcut’s properties and select Open File Location. Look for the application’s installation directory and check whether crlfomui100.dll is present there.

If the file exists but the error remains, do not assume the file is healthy. The message may indicate a missing dependency. Record the complete error text, particularly if it says “The specified module could not be found.”

A known public metadata record describes crlfomui100.dll as a 32-bit CorelDRAW component and associates one archival build with version 10.410.0.0, a size of approximately 444 KB, and a 2000 copyright. These are third-party historical details, not a complete official Corel version record. Corel does not publicly document every build, hash, or supported release for this individual DLL.
Fix 5: Use Visual C++ only when the error identifies it
Do not install Visual C++ Redistributables merely because the problem involves a file ending in .dll. Microsoft’s Visual C++ packages provide Microsoft C and C++ runtime libraries. They do not directly supply Corel’s crlfomui100.dll.
Install or repair a Visual C++ package only when:
- The full error names a Visual C++ runtime DLL.
- Corel support identifies a runtime dependency.
- The repaired CorelDRAW installation still reports a specific runtime error.
Microsoft provides separate packages named:
vc_redist.x86.exevc_redist.x64.exevc_redist.arm64.exe
A 32-bit CorelDRAW application on 64-bit Windows may require the x86 package. Installing only the x64 package does not satisfy every 32-bit application dependency. Multiple Visual C++ Redistributables can coexist, so do not remove every installed version indiscriminately.

Use Microsoft’s latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads, select the architecture named by the error or application, and choose Repair if the package is already installed.
Restart Windows and test CorelDRAW. If the message still names crlfomui100.dll, return to CorelDRAW Repair or reinstall rather than repeatedly reinstalling runtimes.
Fix 6: Repair Windows components only as a secondary step
Windows repair commands do not normally recreate a missing third-party CorelDRAW DLL. They are appropriate when Windows itself is unstable, updates fail, or other protected system files are also damaged.
Open an elevated Command Prompt:
- Open Start.
- Type
cmd. - Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Run this command first:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for it to finish.
- Restart Windows if requested.
- Open an elevated Command Prompt again.
- Run:
sfc /scannow
Microsoft recommends DISM before SFC. DISM repairs the Windows component store, while SFC checks and repairs protected Windows files. Neither command should be expected to recreate crlfomui100.dll.

If DISM or SFC reports that it could not repair files, copy the exact result. Do not interpret a successful SFC scan as proof that CorelDRAW is repaired.

Fix 7: Install Windows updates and investigate drivers only when indicated

- Open Settings.
- Select Windows Update.
- Choose Check for updates.
- Install available updates.
- Restart Windows.
- Check again until no further updates are offered.

A display or printer driver is not a normal source of crlfomui100.dll, but a driver issue may cause CorelDRAW to crash after it starts. Use Device Manager only when the symptoms involve display corruption, printing failures, or a device error:
- Right-click Start.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters or the relevant device category.
- Right-click the device.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Restart Windows and test CorelDRAW.
Do not remove a working driver simply because a CorelDRAW DLL is missing.
Finding the correct driver manually can mean checking hardware identifiers, package dates, and manufacturer versions. Why regsvr32 is usually the wrong fix
regsvr32 is not a general-purpose DLL repair command. It is intended for self-registering COM and ActiveX libraries that expose a registration entry point such as DllRegisterServer.
There is no evidence that crlfomui100.dll requires COM registration. Running a command such as this can therefore produce an error instead of fixing CorelDRAW:
regsvr32 crlfomui100.dll

Do not copy the DLL to System32, SysWOW64, or another application’s folder and then register it. The correct location, installer records, dependent files, and permissions are restored by CorelDRAW’s own Repair or installation process.
Fix 8: Try System Restore after a recent known change
System Restore is reasonable when CorelDRAW worked recently and the problem began after a driver installation, update, or program change.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type
rstrui.exe. - Press Enter.
- Choose a restore point created before the failure.
- Review the affected programs.
- Start the restore process.
- Allow Windows to restart.
You can also open Control Panel → Recovery → Open System Restore.
System Restore can change installed programs and system settings, but it does not replace personal files. Microsoft provides further information about System Restore.

If no suitable restore point exists, do not create a new one expecting it to repair the current error. Use CorelDRAW Repair or reinstall instead.

Avoid random DLL download sites
A standalone DLL download can fail for several reasons:
- The file may belong to another CorelDRAW generation.
- It may be the wrong 32-bit or 64-bit architecture.
- It may have been modified.
- It may contain malware.
- It may not include dependent files.
- It does not restore installer records, shortcuts, permissions, or registry state.
- The error may be caused by a dependency rather than the named DLL.
The safe sources are the original Corel installation media, your legitimate Corel account, or an official Corel installer. The application’s Repair option is preferable when the suite is still registered in Programs and Features.
