The Corsair ML120 PRO RGB is a 120mm PWM fan with magnetic-levitation bearing technology and RGB lighting controlled through Corsair iCUE. Corsair rates it at up to 1,600 RPM, 47.3 CFM and 1.78 mm-H2O static pressure; an independent review measured a 1,591 RPM maximum and found airflow and pressure below the advertised figures. The single-fan version also needs separate Corsair lighting hardware for RGB, unlike the documented three-fan kit.
What the ML120 PRO RGB offers
The ML120 PRO RGB measures 120mm x 25mm and uses PWM speed control through a four-pin fan connection. Its magnetic-levitation bearing and four hub-mounted RGB LEDs are central features; Corsair says the lighting is controlled in iCUE. The fan has a five-year warranty according to Corsair’s current product documentation.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. Corsair’s product documentation is at its ML120 PRO RGB product page; the published figures should not be treated as guaranteed results in every case or radiator.
How it performed in independent testing
Hardware Busters recorded a maximum speed of 1,591 RPM in its review setup, close to Corsair’s 1,600 RPM rating. The reviewer reported that measured airflow and static pressure were below Corsair’s advertised values. The gap matters most if you are comparing fans by cooling capacity: the manufacturer figures and the review’s test results describe different measurement sources and should not be combined as though they were the same test.
#1 Best Overall
- Streamlined Fan Connections: Daisy-chain multiple fans together and control them all through just one 4-pin PWM connector and one +5V ARGB connector.
- Lighting Made Easy: Eight LEDs per fan shine bright with customisable lighting through your motherboard’s built-in ARGB control (requires compatible motherboard).
- Precise PWM Speeds: Set your fan speeds up to 2,100 RPM while providing up to 72.8 CFM airflow to your system.
- CORSAIR AirGuide Technology: Anti-vortex vanes direct airflow at your hottest components for concentrated cooling, pushing air in the direction you need when mounted to a radiator or heatsink.
- High Static Pressure: RS fans work well as radiator fans with a static pressure of 2.8mm-H2O to push through obstructions.
The test is useful as a caution against buying on rated airflow or pressure alone, but it does not establish a temperature improvement, lifetime, or noise experience in your particular case. Hardware Busters’ review and results are available here.
Noise and speed: what the ratings tell you
Corsair specifies a maximum sound level of 25 dBA and a 400–1,600 RPM operating range. Hardware Busters characterizes the maximum speed limit as one reason the fan promises no more than 25 dBA, but that is not the same as a comparative noise test proving it quieter than another fan. Noise at a given speed also depends on installation and the surrounding system.

The 1,600 RPM ceiling is a practical constraint for buyers seeking a higher-speed 120mm fan. It also means the ML120 PRO RGB’s published top-end airflow and pressure cannot be read as evidence that it will match newer models with different speed ranges; compare test results taken under comparable conditions.
Does it fit your build?
For basic installation, confirm that the case or radiator has a standard 120mm mounting position and that the motherboard or fan controller has a four-pin PWM fan header. The fan is 25mm thick, so check clearance around the mounting position as well as the nominal size.

- Keep Cool: Powerful PWM-controlled fan speeds from 480 RPM up to 2,400 RPM, so your fans only spin as fast as you need, pushing up to 63.1 CFM of air with 3.8mm-H2O of static pressure.
- Exclusive Time Warp Lighting Mode: Equipped with 34 RGB LEDs, spread across two distinct light zones on either side, and powered by iCUE LINK for exclusive lighting modes such as the strobing Time Warp.
- Quiet Operation with Magnetic Dome Bearing: CORSAIR’s Magnetic Dome bearing retains all the performance of ML fan technology and further reduces friction at low fan speeds.
- Zero RPM Mode: Supports Zero RPM PWM signals to completely eliminate fan noise at low loads.
- iCUE LINK System Hub and Bridge Connectors Included: Chain your fans together without wires using the included bridge connectors and seamlessly connect them all to the iCUE LINK System Hub with just a single cable.
Plan RGB separately from fan power. Corsair documents an RGB lighting hub and Lighting Node PRO requirement for lighting control; a PWM connection alone does not provide the RGB hardware.
Single fan or three-fan kit?
| Package | SKU | Included items | RGB hardware included? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single fan | CO-9050075-WW | One fan and four mounting screws, per Corsair’s Quick Start Guide | No; Corsair describes it as an expansion fan and specifies the RGB lighting hub and Lighting Node PRO as required hardware. |
| Three-fan kit | CO-9050076-WW | Three fans, one RGB lighting hub, one Lighting Node PRO, twelve mounting screws, and two mounting strips, per Corsair’s Quick Start Guide | Yes; both the hub and Lighting Node PRO are included. |
Check the contents against Corsair’s Quick Start Guide before buying. If you already own Corsair lighting hardware, confirm that the specific controller is documented as compatible; these materials do not establish universal compatibility with newer Corsair controllers.

- Stunning RGB Lighting with Dual Light Loops: 18 LEDs per fan spread across an inner and outer loop enable brilliant, customisable lighting that can be synchronized with all your iCUE RGB devices
- Effective and Efficient Cooling: Deliver superb airflow to your system with precise PWM controlled speeds up to 2,400 RPM, pushing 69.9 CFM of air. An impressive 5.22mmH2O static pressure also gives the LX RGB the force it needs for mounting to radiators
- LINK Your Fans Together: The included iCUE LINK bridge connectors can connect your fans directly to each other, creating a seamless bank of fans all connected to the iCUE LINK System Hub (sold separately) with just a single cable
- CORSAIR AirGuide Technology: Anti-vortex vanes direct airflow at your hottest components for concentrated cooling, pushing air more efficiently
- Quiet Operation with Magnetic Dome Bearing: CORSAIR’s Magnetic Dome bearing is a refinement of the renowned magnetic levitation bearing, minimising noise and reducing friction for greater longevity
Who should consider the ML120 PRO RGB?
- It makes sense if you need a 120mm PWM fan, want Corsair RGB control, and either have the documented lighting components or plan to buy the three-fan kit.
- Look elsewhere if your priority is a higher maximum speed, or if you are choosing primarily by airflow and static pressure without comparable independent test data.
- Compare total installed cost rather than the fan alone: a single fan does not supply the required RGB hub and Lighting Node PRO, while the kit does.
No current price or stock status is established here, so the value judgment depends on the price available to you and whether you need the included lighting hardware.
