What is each game like?
Control: supernatural investigation in the Oldest House
In Control, you play Jesse Faden, the new Director of a secretive agency under attack from an otherworldly force. The game was released in 2019, and Remedy’s page lists PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch Cloud Version.

This version follows a more experienced Peter Parker, eight years into his life as Spider-Man. PlayStation describes improvisational combat, acrobatics, fluid urban traversal, and environmental interactions, alongside a story that reimagines familiar Marvel characters. The city setting and Peter’s personal life are central to its pitch, rather than the enclosed investigation that defines Control.

Which edition should you check before buying?
Control Ultimate Edition
The US PlayStation Store listing describes Control Ultimate Edition as including the main game and the two expansions, The Foundation and AWE. Remedy’s support page says that after digital download and updates are installed, an internet connection is not required to play. It also states that AWE missions unlock after main story mission 7, “The Face of the Enemy.” The US listing covers PS4 and PS5. Remedy’s Q1 2021 business review says the next-generation physical release arrived in March 2021; check your region and exact SKU rather than assuming every physical edition has identical platform or content details.
Marvel’s Spider-Man editions
PlayStation lists Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PS5 and separately identifies a PS4 Game of the Year Edition. The PS4 edition lists The City That Never Sleeps content: The Heist, Turf Wars, and Silver Lining. PlayStation describes the remaster’s complete adventure as including three story chapters with additional challenges, allies, enemies, and suits. These are US listings, so check the regional catalog and physical-edition details for the version you plan to buy.

PlayStation lists adjustable difficulty, skippable puzzles, simplified quick-time events, control reminders, and pausing during gameplay or cinematics in offline play. Insomniac’s accessibility support article adds options such as QTE auto-completion, changing button taps to holds, chase assist, enhanced auto aim, an increased dodge window, camera controls, subtitle sizing and backgrounds, and audio adjustments. These sources provide a detailed list for Spider-Man Remastered, but do not establish a like-for-like accessibility inventory for Control; they are not enough to rank one game as categorically more accessible.
