Yes. Perplexity has launched Comet for Android, a mobile browser with an integrated AI assistant. The company says users can ask questions by voice about open tabs and get summaries that combine information across tabs; the Google Play listing also describes a built-in ad blocker and site whitelist. These are vendor-described features, not independently verified performance results.
What Comet for Android offers
Perplexity says it redesigned Comet for mobile instead of simply bringing its desktop experience to phones. Its launch announcement describes an assistant available from the browsing experience to answer follow-up questions and help with assigned tasks. The Google Play listing calls Comet “the first agentic AI browser built for mobile”; that is the company’s positioning, not an independently established industry-first finding.
Assistant and voice interaction
The Google Play listing says users can see what actions the assistant is taking and step in. It also describes voice recognition for asking Comet Assistant to find information across open tabs.
Summaries across open tabs
Perplexity says Comet can synthesize information across all open tabs, rather than limiting a summary to the page currently in view. The sources describe this capability but do not independently test the accuracy or completeness of its summaries.

What the Play listing says about data
Google Play’s data-safety section reflects disclosures supplied by the developer, not an independent audit. It says the app may share app information and performance data, and device or other IDs; may collect location, personal information, and four other data categories; encrypts data in transit; and allows users to request deletion. The listing cautions that data practices may vary by use, region, and age. This disclosure does not by itself establish precisely what browsing content is or is not sent to Perplexity.

What remains unverified
The launch announcement and store listing describe Comet’s features, but do not provide independent results for assistant accuracy, task completion, speed, security, privacy, accessibility, compatibility, or ad-blocking effectiveness. They also do not establish account or paid-feature requirements, usage limits, or bookmark, history, and cross-device sync behavior. Treat the feature descriptions as Perplexity’s claims and check the current listing and app for availability details.
