Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsColorlib Sidebar V07 is a free Bootstrap sidebar template published by Colorlib. You can preview it and download it from its official Colorlib product page. The page labels the license CC BY 3.0, but it gives conflicting dates and very little technical detail, so check those points yourself before you build on it.
What Colorlib Sidebar V07 is
The official page is titled “Colorlib Sidebar V07,” names Colorlib as the author, and describes the item as a Bootstrap sidebar template made by Colorlib. It is a navigation layout you can drop into a web project, not a full website or a hosted service. Treat it as a starting point for the sidebar portion of a page.

How to get it
The product page offers two links:
- Preview opens a live demonstration so you can judge the layout before downloading anything.
- Download starts the download flow, which asks for an email address before the files are delivered.
Use the preview first. It is the cheapest way to confirm that the sidebar’s look, collapse behavior and navigation structure suit your project.
The license label: CC BY 3.0
The page states the license as “CC BY 3.0.” That is the label Colorlib publishes, and it is the only license statement on the product page that this article can report. CC BY 3.0 is a Creative Commons license that generally requires attribution, but the exact obligations depend on the license text and on any notices bundled inside the download, such as third-party fonts, icons or scripts. Read the license file in the package and any notice files before you reuse, modify or redistribute the template, especially in a commercial site.

The conflicting dates
The page is not consistent about when the template came out. Near the title, it displays a post date of November 25, 2020. Its template details, however, list “Released: 2025.” The page title also contains “2026,” which reflects how the item is being searched for rather than a verified release date.
Because these fields disagree, do not cite any single date as the release date of V07. If you need a date for documentation or a project record, use the date you downloaded the files and note the version you received.

What the page does and does not document
The official entry is short. It establishes the name, author, access routes and license label. It does not state any of the following:
- the Bootstrap version the template uses, or any other dependencies
- responsive breakpoints or mobile behavior
- keyboard and screen-reader accessibility
- supported browsers
- customization or installation instructions
Those gaps matter. Until you inspect the files, you should not assume that V07 is compatible with a particular Bootstrap release, follows a given accessibility standard or will work without changes in your build setup.

Bootstrap 5.3 context, and what it does not prove
Bootstrap’s official v5.3 documentation includes an Offcanvas component, which is a common building block for sidebar-style navigation that slides in from the edge of the screen. It is useful background if you want to understand how sidebars are usually built in current Bootstrap, but it does not tell you whether V07 uses Offcanvas or Bootstrap 5.3 at all.
Colorlib’s separate AdminLTE dashboard is also built on Bootstrap 5.3 and is distributed under the MIT license. It is a different product. Its version, install paths and license do not transfer to Sidebar V07.
How to check V07 before you use it
- Open the Preview link on a desktop browser, then resize the window to a phone width. Note whether the sidebar collapses, overlays content or pushes it aside.
- Download the package and open the main HTML file. Search the files for
bootstrapto find the CSS and JavaScript references, including their version numbers. - Read the license file and any notice or readme files in the package. Confirm the attribution requirement and any terms for bundled assets.
- Navigate the preview with the Tab key only. Confirm that every link and toggle can receive focus and that focus is visible.
- Check the
<head>and footer for the date or version comments the author left, and compare them with the date the page shows.
Comparing V07 with other Colorlib sidebars
Colorlib also lists sidebar templates numbered V06 and V08. The official page gives no comparison data for them. If you need to choose between versions, compare the live previews and the downloaded files on the same points: Bootstrap version, dependencies, mobile behavior, keyboard access, navigation structure, ease of styling, and license terms. Choose on what you find in those files, not on the version number.
The template is a free download, and the best use of it is to confirm its behavior in your own project before you commit to it.
