The TECNO POVA 7 Pro 5G is the stronger fit if you want a sharper, faster-refreshing screen, a larger stated battery, or wireless charging. The CMF Phone 2 Pro is the more compelling choice on paper for a dedicated 2x telephoto camera and a documented software-update commitment. There is no universal price winner: India comparison listings conflict, and prices depend on the seller and configuration.

Display: POVA lists more pixels and a faster refresh rate
The screens are nearly the same size: 6.78 inches for the POVA and 6.77 inches for the CMF. TECNO lists the POVA panel at 2720 × 1224 and 144Hz, compared with 1080 × 2392 and adaptive 120Hz for CMF. On published specifications, POVA has the higher resolution and refresh rate; that does not by itself establish which screen looks better in every condition.
Cameras: CMF has a dedicated 2x telephoto
CMF’s listed rear setup comprises a 50MP main camera, a separate 50MP 2x telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide. TECNO lists a 64MP and 8MP rear-camera combination. The dedicated telephoto gives CMF a distinct hardware option for 2x framing, while megapixel counts alone cannot establish image quality. The cited sources do not provide a controlled, direct camera comparison.

Battery and charging: POVA has more options on paper
TECNO lists a 6000mAh battery with 45W wired and 30W wireless charging; its product page also advertises 10W reverse charging with the claim, “With 10W reverse charging, your phone doubles as a power bank.” CMF lists a 5000mAh battery and 33W wired charging. Capacity and charging rates do not prove real-world endurance or charging time.
Tom’s Guide measured 15 hours 24 minutes for the CMF Phone 2 Pro in its 2025 battery benchmark using dynamic refresh-rate mode. That is an outlet-specific test result for CMF, not a head-to-head result against the POVA, so it should not be used to rank the phones’ battery life.

Software support: CMF’s duration is documented; TECNO’s is not here
Both phones are listed with Android 15 in the cited specifications. Tom’s Guide reports that CMF receives three Android-version updates and six years of security patches. The reviewed TECNO specification page gives Android 15 but does not state a support duration. That omission is not evidence that TECNO provides no updates; check the current support terms for the exact local model before buying.

| Source and page date | CMF Phone 2 Pro | TECNO POVA 7 Pro 5G | What the listing establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smartprix; details marked updated September 15, 2026 | ₹22,999 | ₹17,749 | POVA is listed ₹5,250 lower on that page. [Smartprix comparison] |
| 91mobiles; comparison page accessed in 2026 | ₹18,999; out of stock | ₹18,999; out of stock | The page shows equal listed prices, but neither is marked available. [91mobiles comparison] |
The difference between these pages is substantial, so neither figure should be treated as a guaranteed current price. Tom’s Guide gives CMF launch starting prices of $279 and £219 and notes U.S. availability through a beta program at the time of its review; those are separate market and time references, not directly comparable to the India listings. What to check before choosing
- Compare the same RAM and storage configuration, rather than headline prices for different variants.
- Confirm that the seller has stock, and check the phone’s local warranty and return terms.
- Verify network-band compatibility for your carrier and country.
- For CMF, decide whether its telephoto camera and reported update schedule matter more to you than POVA’s listed display and charging specifications.
- For TECNO, confirm software-support terms for the exact regional model, since the cited official specification page does not state a duration.
Verdict
Pick the TECNO POVA 7 Pro 5G if its higher-resolution 144Hz display, larger stated battery, or wireless charging best matches your priorities. Pick the CMF Phone 2 Pro if you value a dedicated 2x telephoto or prefer the update duration reported by Tom’s Guide. Before deciding on price, compare current local listings for the same configuration and verify availability, warranty, network compatibility, and support terms.
