Anti-Magic: the safest chase
Anti-Magic is the most consistent top choice across the reviewed lists. If you want a general recommendation and your current build is not working well, it is the clearest Grimoire to prioritize. That does not establish that it will outperform every alternative in every activity or build.

Poison: a strong option, not a universal winner
Pro Game Guides and Destructoid place Poison in their highest tier, while Gamezebo puts it in A. Consider it a strong keep if its range and kit suit how you like to fight; its lower placement in one guide shows that top-tier status is not settled.
Battle Lightning: choose based on what you value
Battle Lightning is S tier in Pro Game Guides and Gamezebo but Tier II in Destructoid. That gap is a reason to examine what a list rewards—such as damage, crowd control, range, or performance in PvP versus PvE—instead of treating a single label as a universal answer.

Other Grimoires: judge the kit and your build
Explosive Flame, Ice, and Chain receive mixed placements. Water, Snow, Fire, and Earth are lower in the guides where their tiers are visible, but those labels are not measured performance data. A lower-ranked Grimoire can still be useful when its abilities and your character build work together.
What a tier list can—and cannot—tell you
The guides discuss qualities such as damage, move variety, range, stuns, block-breaking, and utility, including summons. They also consider PvE and PvP differently. None provides a common measured score or controlled comparison, so tier letters should be read as qualitative editorial judgments—not win rates, damage benchmarks, or official game data.

Character context matters as well. Stats, race, traits, preferred combat distance, and progression can all affect whether a Grimoire is a good fit. A top-ranked option that clashes with your build may serve you less well than a lower-ranked kit you can use effectively.
When to reroll
Do not spend rerolls simply to move up a tier if your current setup is clearing the content you care about. Clover Time Wiki advises players to consider how Grimoire, race, and traits support the same build direction, learn the kit, and reroll when the current combination is holding back progression. That is guide advice, not a confirmed developer rule.

For obtaining spins, Pro Game Guides reports that players can reach the Grimoire Tower by asking Finral to teleport them or by following a compass direction, and that Crystal Mana is used for spins.
