What the Cli-Mate CLI-DH12 is
The CLI-DH12 is a household refrigeration dehumidifier. CHOICE lists a claimed extraction rate of 12 L/day and a claimed operating range of 0–40°C. Those are listed specifications, not CHOICE’s measured test results. The manual separately recommends operation from 5°C at 40% relative humidity to 35°C at 90% relative humidity; that guidance is not the same as the broader temperature range listed by CHOICE.

How the tank and continuous drainage work
With the 1.9 L reservoir in use, collected water must be emptied when the tank fills. The published 12 L/day figure is a claimed extraction rate, not a promise that the tank lasts a particular number of hours: actual collection depends on operating conditions, and the available sources do not specify an emptying interval.
The unit also supports optional continuous drainage through a hose routed to a drain. The manual says no part of the hose should sit above the outlet or spigot level, or the water may not drain correctly. If you do not use the hose, the reservoir remains the collection method. The manual does not establish a compatible hose specification, so confirm fit before sourcing one. (CLI-DH12 manual)

Setup and operating guidance
The manual describes the appliance as intended for household use. It advises placing it on a flat, stable surface, leaving at least 30 cm between the unit and walls or other appliances, keeping vents unobstructed, and closing doors and windows for best performance. Its recommended operating conditions are 5–35°C at the stated humidity limits; do not assume that the separate 0–40°C range listed by CHOICE is the manual’s recommended range.
Cleaning the air filter
- Switch the dehumidifier off and unplug it before maintenance.
- Remove the air-intake frame and take out the filter.
- Vacuum the filter, or wash it in cool water.
- Let the filter dry thoroughly before reinstalling it.

Those scores cannot be assessed from the public listing, so the claimed 12 L/day rate and Andoo’s 46 dB figure should not be presented as independently measured results.
The published information is enough to understand the basic design, listed specifications and care instructions, but not to judge the CLI-DH12 against other dehumidifiers on verified extraction, running cost, noise or ease of use. No defensible like-for-like alternative winner is established by these sources. For a currently available replacement, compare claimed and independently measured extraction, tank and drainage arrangements, temperature limits, power use and energy cost, noise, room guidance, dimensions, portability, warranty and local service.
