The Crock-Pot Lift & Serve CHP450 is a discontinued 5.7 L oval slow cooker with a hinged glass lid, removable ceramic crock and simple Off, Low, High and Keep Warm controls. Its published specifications and manual describe the design and care requirements, but the available public review does not reveal the model’s cooking-test scores—so there is not enough public evidence to judge how evenly or quickly it cooks.
What the CHP450 is—and which model this review covers
This review concerns the Australian/New Zealand CHP450, also described in its manual as the Lift & Serve One Pot Slow Cooker. CHOICE lists it as discontinued. It is not the US 4.5-quart CPSCVO45HL-BP, nor the Australian CHP550; specifications for either should not be applied to the CHP450. CHOICE’s CHP450 listing and the CHP450 user guide are the relevant references.

How well does the CHP450 cook?
A dependable cooking-performance verdict cannot be made from the publicly visible evidence. CHOICE’s page identifies a review, but its expert rating, low- and high-setting cooking results, ease-of-use score and end-of-cook temperatures are member-only. Those figures are not available to verify here, so claims about cooking speed, temperature consistency or superiority would be speculation. The page names Rebecca Ciaramidaro as the review’s author and notes her prior kitchen-lab test-officer experience, but that does not make the hidden results publicly assessable.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Controls, capacity and day-to-day use
The CHP450 uses four straightforward settings—Off, Low, High and Keep Warm—rather than the digital timer controls documented for the different CHP550. The hinged lid is intended to lift for serving without setting a hot lid down separately. Whether that arrangement suits your counter and serving routine is a matter of preference; the available public test information does not establish a comparative ease-of-use result.
Capacity should be judged by the food you actually cook, not just the nominal litre figure. The guide’s 1.3 kg maximum for a whole piece of meat is a more practical boundary for that use case. Follow the manual’s instructions on filling and food handling rather than treating the stated bowl capacity as usable volume for all dishes.

Cleaning and safe handling
The CHP450 guide says the removable ceramic crock and glass lid are dishwasher-safe, and that the crock is oven-safe. It also warns that sudden temperature changes can damage the glass lid or ceramic crock. Follow the exact guide for handling and cleaning; avoid transferring a hot component into conditions that create a sudden temperature change. These care directions are specific to the CHP450 and should not be inferred from another Lift & Serve model.

For a replacement, compare the specifications that determine whether it will work for your kitchen rather than relying on the Lift & Serve name:
- Usable capacity for your household and usual recipes
- Manual controls versus programmable settings, including whether it switches automatically to Keep Warm
- Lid hinge or removable-lid design and how you serve food
- Dimensions and counter or storage footprint
- Crock material and the exact dishwasher and oven-care instructions
- Warranty and service support in your country
For context only, the US CPSCVO45HL-BP is a separate 4.5-quart model with four preprogrammed settings, auto-warm and oven-safe stoneware, according to its US product page. The Australian/New Zealand CHP550 is also different: its product page describes a 4.7 L cooker with digital controls, a 20-hour timer and auto keep-warm. Neither model’s features establish what the CHP450 does.
