The Pixel 10 Pro is the smaller, less expensive option at US launch pricing; the Galaxy S26 Ultra costs more and gives you a much larger, higher-resolution screen and storage options up to 1TB. At their US launch starting prices, the Pixel was $999 and the Samsung was $1,299.99—a $300 difference. That is a historical MSRP comparison, not a quote for current checkout prices.
Price difference: $300 at US launch
Google announced the Pixel 10 Pro would be available from August 28, 2025, starting at $999. Samsung announced general availability of the Galaxy S26 Ultra from March 11, 2026, starting at $1,299.99 with 256GB. The Samsung therefore launched $300 higher, comparing the manufacturers’ US starting prices. Google’s launch announcement and Samsung’s announcement establish those launch figures.

Those prices do not tell you what either phone costs today. A carrier comparison page crawled in October 2026 listed retail starting prices of $1,049.99 for Pixel 10 Pro and $1,299.99 for Galaxy S26 Ultra, alongside offers dependent on plans, installments, or trade-ins. That is a different price basis from manufacturer launch MSRP; current prices vary with seller, storage, promotions, and carrier terms. Check the final price for your country and configuration before buying. AT&T’s comparison page shows why carrier pricing should not be treated as a universal cash price.

Google’s listed Pixel specifications are on its Pixel 10 Pro specifications page. Samsung’s display and physical measurements come from its Q1 2026 interim report; its storage tiers and launch configuration come from the S26 launch announcement. “Not stated” means the cited material does not establish that comparison value; it is not a claim that the manufacturer omits the specification elsewhere.

Which phone suits your screen and portability priorities?
Choose Pixel if you want the smaller display class
Google lists the Pixel 10 Pro’s display at 6.3 inches, compared with the Ultra’s 6.9 inches. That makes the Pixel the more plausible fit if you prefer a smaller-screen phone, while the measured Samsung dimensions and weight give a concrete sense of the Ultra’s size. A diagonal measurement alone does not establish overall handling comfort, and the cited sources do not provide comparable Pixel dimensions or weight.
Choose Galaxy if you want more screen area and a stated QHD+ resolution
The S26 Ultra’s 6.9-inch panel has a stated 3120 × 1440 resolution. The cited sources do not give a comparable Pixel resolution, so this comparison can establish Samsung’s panel size and pixel count, but not a measured display-quality winner.

Processor, cameras, and AI features
Processor: account for region
Google identifies Tensor G5 in the Pixel 10 Pro. For the S26 Ultra, AT&T’s US comparison identifies Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, while Samsung’s corporate report lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5/Exynos 2600. Treat the US carrier listing as a US-specific reference rather than assuming that every regional S26 Ultra uses the same platform. The cited material does not provide an apples-to-apples benchmark, so it cannot establish which phone is faster in real-world use.

Camera hardware and features
Google specifies a triple rear-camera setup on Pixel 10 Pro: a 50MP wide camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera with Macro Focus, and a 48MP 5× telephoto camera. Google also advertises Pro Res Zoom up to 100×. That is a manufacturer-stated feature capability, not independent evidence that zoom images—or overall photos—are better than the Samsung’s. The cited comparison sources do not establish a full S26 Ultra camera specification set or comparative photo results.

AI: compare features, not broad promises
Google’s Pixel 10 launch announcement names Gemini Nano, Magic Cue, and Camera Coach among its features, alongside Tensor G5 and Pro Res Zoom. Samsung positions the S26 range around Galaxy AI. These are vendor-described capabilities and product positioning; the cited sources do not support a categorical claim that one company’s AI is better. Consider the specific features you expect to use rather than treating either brand’s AI label as a performance score.
Charging and accessory compatibility
The Pixel 10 Pro supports Qi2 and Google’s Pixelsnap magnetic accessories. Google says its Pixelsnap Charger delivers up to 15W to Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold; do not apply the 25W figure associated with the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL to the smaller Pro. The cited sources do not establish a complete, directly comparable charging-speed picture for the S26 Ultra, so they are not enough to declare a charging winner. Check that a particular case or magnetic accessory is listed as compatible with your exact phone model. Google’s Pixelsnap announcement describes the accessory system.

How to decide between Pixel 10 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra
- Lean toward Pixel 10 Pro if you prioritize the smaller 6.3-inch display class, the lower US launch starting MSRP, Google’s named Pixel camera and AI features, or Qi2/Pixelsnap accessories.
- Lean toward Galaxy S26 Ultra if you prioritize a 6.9-inch QHD+ screen, Samsung’s stated 256GB-to-1TB storage range, or the Snapdragon configuration identified for the US market.
- Compare actual offers before paying if price is decisive: launch MSRP, carrier retail prices, and conditional plan or trade-in credits are different measures.
- Do not decide on unverified performance claims: the cited material contains no independent head-to-head testing for battery endurance, speed, camera quality, or user satisfaction.
Neither is an objective winner on the evidence available here. The useful distinction is preference: a smaller, lower-launch-price Pixel with Google’s stated features versus a larger Samsung Ultra with a specified QHD+ panel and more documented storage tiers.
