Cherry Servers in 2026: Is VPS or Dedicated Hosting the Better Fit?

Cherry Servers offers VPS and dedicated bare-metal hosting. Compare workload fit, 2026 updates, pricing evidence, support claims, and service terms before choosing.

Cherry Servers offers both virtual servers and dedicated bare-metal machines. Choose a VPS when a virtualized instance fits your workload; choose dedicated hosting when you need a physical machine’s hardware assigned to your use. The right choice depends on the exact configuration, region, network terms, total price, and contract—not on a single advertised speed or starting price.

How Cherry Servers’ VPS and dedicated servers differ

Cherry Servers describes a dedicated server as a physical machine whose hardware resources are assigned to one customer, without a virtualization layer. A VPS is a virtualized slice of a physical server that shares the underlying host. Those definitions explain the basic distinction, but they do not establish identical performance or isolation across every plan; check the specific platform and configuration. Cherry Servers’ FAQ gives the provider’s definitions.

What changed in Cherry Servers’ 2026 lineup

The provider’s dated changelog points to several changes relevant to buyers, but these announcements do not mean every feature is available on every configuration.

  • August 5: Cherry Servers announced VDS Gen2, initially in Tokyo, with additional regions planned. The launch headline said “Up to 70% More Performance”; that is the vendor’s claim, not an independently verified comparative benchmark.
  • August 11: The changelog listed Cloud VDS, Premium VDS, and Performance VDS as available in Stockholm.
  • August 5: Cherry Servers announced 10 Gbps dedicated servers in Singapore. Confirm the option and its terms for the server you intend to order.
  • September 16: Performance and Premium VDS gained VirtIO Multi-Queue networking, which the provider says can distribute network processing across multiple queues and CPU cores rather than a single queue.
  • September 30: The provider added documentation on modifications to its Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04 bare-metal images. This is useful if you need to understand how a supplied image differs from upstream Ubuntu.

The homepage lists Lithuania, Amsterdam, Chicago, Singapore, Stockholm, Frankfurt, and Tokyo. Treat these as advertised locations, not proof that a particular VPS or dedicated configuration can be deployed in each one. Check live availability for the exact product and specifications. See the Cherry Servers changelog for dated announcements and the provider homepage for its location list.

Pricing: treat snapshots as a starting point, not a quote

A third-party CloudsPress snapshot dated September 24, 2026 listed two VPS entries—CLOUD ARM VDS 1 and CLOUD VPS 1—at $10.53 per month each on monthly billing. It is not a complete official price list and does not establish the price of every region, configuration, or dedicated server. The snapshot described CLOUD VPS 1 as 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB SSD, and 5 TB bandwidth; its excerpt for CLOUD ARM VDS 1 listed 1 vCPU and 5 TB bandwidth. Check the CloudsPress pricing snapshot and then confirm the current configuration and total at checkout.

Before ordering, compare the full recurring cost for the configuration and location you need. Verify billing unit and term, taxes, bandwidth terms, and any setup or optional charges. Do not use the dated $10.53 figure as a representative VPS starting price or as a guide to dedicated-server pricing.

Support claims and customer feedback

Cherry Servers’ FAQ says technical support is available 24/7 and gives an average initial response time of 15 minutes. Its homepage separately claims an average support response time of 45 seconds. The reviewed pages do not explain whether these figures use the same time period, support channel, or definition of “response,” so treat them as distinct vendor claims rather than a single service promise. The FAQ and homepage are the sources for those statements.

A Trustpilot result accessed October 7, 2026 displayed 151 reviews and a 4.4 TrustScore, alongside both favorable comments about reliability and support and complaints. Ratings and review counts change, and individual customer reports are anecdotes—not a measure of uptime. Check the Trustpilot listing for its current figures and read comments in context.

How to decide whether Cherry Servers fits

  1. Match the hardware model to the workload. Decide whether the workload fits a virtualized instance or benefits from a whole physical machine. Account for the administration and operational skills you will need.
  2. Choose a region based on the users and dependencies that matter. Consider physical distance, then verify that your exact product and configuration are currently available there.
  3. Compare the actual specifications. Confirm CPU architecture and generation, cores, RAM, storage type and capacity, and the resources included in the plan. Do not assume similarly named tiers have the same specifications.
  4. Check network details. Verify port speed and included traffic or bandwidth terms. The Singapore 10 Gbps announcement applies to the announced dedicated-server option; Multi-Queue was announced for Performance and Premium VDS, not every virtual server.
  5. Calculate the full bill. Compare the same configuration, location, billing period, and included services. Confirm taxes and any setup or optional charges in the live checkout flow.
  6. Read the service terms before relying on the service. Check support channels, the applicable SLA and remedies, refund eligibility, bandwidth conditions, and account and payment rules. The reviewed pages do not establish all of these terms.

Verdict

Cherry Servers is worth evaluating if you need a VPS or dedicated server and its available regions and configurations match your workload. The 2026 changelog documents VDS and network updates, but the “up to 70%” figure is a vendor launch claim rather than an independent benchmark. The available pricing snapshot is narrow and dated, while support-response figures differ across the provider’s own pages. Make a decision using the live configuration and checkout price, and verify service terms before you depend on the server.
