The Chefman Coffee Station PRO is built to replace more than one coffee appliance: model RJ54-CS-V2-AM combines espresso, single-serve pods, and a 12-cup drip pot with additional drink modes. The trade-off is a more involved machine with separate components and potentially uneven results across formats. It makes most sense for a household that will use several of its modes—not simply for anyone seeking the best espresso or drip coffee on its own.
What the Coffee Station PRO combines
Best Buy identifies the PRO as model RJ54-CS-V2-AM, a 10-in-1 coffee maker. Its listed modes include espresso, single-serve brewing, 12-cup drip coffee, cold brew, coffee over ice, milk drinks, hot milk, cold foam, and hot water. The listing specifies 1600W at 120V, a 20-bar pump, a removable 16-ounce milk reservoir, and compatibility with drip grounds, espresso grounds, Nespresso capsules, and K-Cup pods. Best Buy’s PRO listing is the source for those revision-specific details.

Target’s listing for the PRO describes a removable 100-ounce water reservoir and similar drink modes. Because retailer listings can differ in what they emphasize, check the listing for the exact revision being sold before relying on a particular specification. Target’s listing provides that reservoir figure.

Chefman’s official product page describes a Coffee Station under the model number RJ54-CS, not RJ54-CS-V2-AM. It lists a 3-liter removable tank, a 12-cup glass carafe, a 20-bar pump, ground coffee and K-Cup/Nespresso pod compatibility, and a one-year assurance. Its listed price at retrieval was $349.99 sale and $399.99 regular; those are time-sensitive figures for the RJ54-CS page, not a confirmed current price for the PRO revision. Chefman’s Coffee Station page documents those original-model specifications.

Where an all-in-one machine helps—and where it asks more of you
One appliance for different routines
The practical appeal is variety without keeping a separate espresso machine, drip brewer, and pod brewer on the counter. A carafe can serve people who want several cups, while espresso and pod options offer different serving styles. The PRO listing also adds cold brew, iced coffee, milk drinks, foam, and hot water, which may reduce the need for other drink-making equipment.
More modes mean more parts to manage
Ground espresso uses a portafilter and basket; drip coffee uses the carafe; pod brewing requires a compatible pod format; milk drinks add a reservoir and nozzle. Switching among them is less simple than pressing one button on a single-purpose machine, and cleaning involves the components used for that drink. Whether the counter-space saving is worth that work depends on how often each person in the household will use the different modes.

There is no controlled comparison here between the Coffee Station PRO and a set of separate appliances. Treat the consolidation case as a practical choice about counter space, variety, switching effort, and the consistency you expect from your most-used drinks—not as proof that one machine outperforms several dedicated ones.

No machine’s compatibility list guarantees equally satisfying results from every format. In its hands-on review published October 1, 2026, TechRadar reported that many of the drinks its reviewer made came out well, while some were only okay and others undrinkable. The reviewer specifically described the Nespresso-capsule brew as weak and tiny. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a standardized test or a guarantee of what every user will get. - SLEEK AND COMPACT: Our espresso machines are designed with style in mind, with a sleek black finish that looks great and is easy to clean. Just wipe the exterior down with a damp cloth, or program a descale function when an alert appears automatically after 500 brewing cycles.
That caveat matters if capsules are the main reason you are considering the machine. If possible, prioritize evidence about the mode and format you plan to use most; a wide feature list is not a substitute for confidence in your preferred cup.
How to set it up and make espresso
Prime before the first drink
Chefman recommends running a water-only cycle before using a new machine. Its getting-started instructions call for removing the packaging, hand-washing key parts, installing the filled water tank and relevant components, and optionally setting the clock before priming. Pull a shot with grounds
- Fit the single or double basket into the portafilter. Add one level scoop of finely ground espresso for a single shot or two for a double; do not overfill.
- Tamp the grounds evenly and wipe loose grounds from the portafilter rim.
- Lock the portafilter into the brew head, select Espresso and the desired shot size, then press Start.
- After brewing, wait at least 60 seconds before removing the portafilter. Use the retention clip to discard the spent grounds.
These steps and the waiting instruction come from Chefman’s espresso instructions. The wait is a safety step; do not remove the portafilter immediately after brewing.

Milk drinks and cleaning
For a latte or cappuccino, Chefman’s instructions describe preparing the portafilter with grounds or a Nespresso capsule, filling the milk reservoir between its MIN and MAX marks, positioning the nozzle, and selecting the desired single or double drink. Run the quick-clean cycle when the Clean light blinks. See Chefman’s latte and cappuccino instructions for the procedure.
Best Value
- BARISTA-LEVEL ESPRESSO AT HOME: Brew rich, café-quality espresso with a semi-automatic design that grinds, brews, and delivers full flavor in minutes.
- DOUBLE BOILER FOR FASTER BREWING: Froth milk and brew espresso at the same time with a dual boiler system that saves time and enhances your morning routine.
- 30-SETTING CONICAL BURR GRINDER: Customize your grind with 30 precision settings. Grinder dispenses fresh coffee directly into the portafilter for consistent results.
- RICH AND BOLD FLAVOR: The 15-bar pump produces beautiful and full-bodied espresso, with customizable shot temperature and volume settings to brew everything from caffe lungo to ristretto.
- TWO SHOT SIZES: Brew the perfect amount: the 58mm portafilter features both single and double shot baskets for any size of espresso drink. Great for quick mornings or relaxing weekends.
Those extra steps are part of the ownership calculation: milk drinks add a reservoir and nozzle to keep track of, while espresso and drip brewing each use their own brewing components. If you mostly want a quick cup with little cleanup, a machine with this many formats may be more appliance than you need.
Who should consider it?
- A mixed-preference household: One person wants a pot of drip coffee while another wants espresso, pods, or milk drinks.
- A counter-space-conscious buyer: Several brewing styles in one appliance are appealing, and there is room to manage its accessories.
- A capsule-first buyer: Be cautious if Nespresso performance is decisive; TechRadar’s reviewer found that result weak and small.
- A single-mode specialist: If you mainly care about one style of coffee and want a simpler workflow, compare that mode’s performance and effort against a dedicated machine before choosing an all-in-one.
TechRadar’s reviewer likewise framed the machine as potentially useful for households whose members want different kinds of coffee and might otherwise use several machines. That is a fit judgment, not a controlled finding about space saved or value versus separate appliances.
