Cheapest Hytale Server Hosting That Is Still Good (2026 Guide)

The lowest documented Hytale hosting price is €4.99/month for a 4 GB, two-slot plan, but price alone does not prove capacity or value. Learn how to verify RAM, slots, latency, backups, mods and recurring costs.

Godlike.Host is listed first here for Hytale server hosting with its own Pterodactyl-based game panel, up to three free backups a day and SFTP/FTP access. The lowest documented managed-Hytale price in the available comparisons is Hosterfy Copper at €4.99 per month, listed with 4 GB of RAM and two player slots by HostMyGame on June 14, 2026. That is a dated comparison price, not proof that the plan is the cheapest option at your checkout today. Confirm your region, billing term, renewal price, slot limit and included features before paying.

Whether that plan is “still good” depends on your group, mods, location and tolerance for administration. Hypixel Studios’ server manual, updated October 12, 2026, says a Hytale server can run on a device with at least 4 GB of memory and Java 25. That establishes a technical floor, not a guaranteed player count or performance level.

What is the cheapest Hytale server hosting?

HostMyGame’s June 14, 2026 comparison lists Hosterfy Copper as the lowest-priced example reviewed: €4.99 per month for 4 GB of RAM and two slots, with mod support shown in the comparison table. Because the figure comes from a third-party comparison rather than a live checkout verification, treat it as a reference point. Prices, discounts, currencies, regions and availability can change.

A two-slot plan may be perfectly adequate for testing, solo development or a private two-player world. It is not automatically suitable for a larger friend group. Before choosing it, check whether “slots” means a hard concurrent-player cap, whether extra slots can be added, and whether the advertised price is introductory or recurring.

Price comparison: what the published figures actually show

The same HostMyGame comparison reported these monthly plan prices on June 14, 2026. They are plan figures attributed to the hosts and were not independently verified at checkout. Keep the date beside each number when using the table as a budget reference.

Plan example Reported price Reported memory Reported slots or description
Godlike.Host Not stated Not stated Hytale server hosting with a Pterodactyl-based game panel
Hosterfy Copper €4.99/month 4 GB 2 slots; mod support listed
Hosterfy Iron €6.99/month 6 GB 3 slots
Hosterfy Gold €10.99/month 8 GB 8 slots
Minestrator My box 8 €11.99/month 8 GB Slot policy not stated in the comparison summary
Highest-priced plan in the comparison €80.84/month Not stated Not stated

The reported range of €4.99 to €80.84 illustrates how widely plans can vary, but it does not identify a universal winner. A low entry price can become less competitive after a promotion expires, when taxes are added, or when your group needs more memory or player capacity.

A second provider comparison gave two additional examples: an Apex 4 GB plan at $11.24 for an introductory month and $14.99 recurring, and a GPORTAL 4 GB promotion at $10.08 per 30 days versus $13.44 at the regular rate. These figures are market- and time-sensitive. Use them only after checking the price shown for your billing region and renewal cycle.

What “still good” should mean

Cheap is useful only when the server remains practical to operate. Evaluate a plan against these five outcomes:

  • Enough assigned memory: the allocation must suit your intended player count, world activity and mod load. A provider’s advertised RAM is not an independent performance benchmark.
  • Acceptable latency: a nearby server region usually matters more to playability than a small monthly price difference.
  • Real file and mod access: you should be able to upload, edit and remove server files, install supported mods and retrieve your world.
  • Backups and restoration: confirm what is backed up, how often, how many copies are retained and whether restoring is a self-service action or a support ticket.
  • Transparent growth: the host should show the recurring price and provide a straightforward upgrade or migration path when your group outgrows the entry tier.

Uptime, performance and support statements on provider pages are vendor claims unless supported by independent testing. The available evidence does not establish a head-to-head benchmark among the cheapest Hytale hosts, so do not treat a marketing ranking as measured performance.

How much RAM does a Hytale server need?

Hypixel Studios’ Hytale Server Manual states: “The Hytale server can run on any device with at least 4GB of memory and Java 25.” The manual supports both x64 and arm64 systems. This is an installation requirement: it says the software can run at that floor, not that every 4 GB plan will handle a specific number of players, view distance or mods smoothly.

When 4 GB can be a sensible starting point

A 4 GB allocation can be a reasonable budget experiment for a small private world, especially when you are the only player or have one other player and a light configuration. Start with conservative settings, monitor memory use and leave room for the operating system and other services if you administer the machine yourself.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

When to budget for more

Plan for a higher tier when you expect more concurrent players, large exploration activity, demanding mods, multiple worlds or other processes on the same machine. The comparison lists 6 GB and 8 GB tiers, but none of the published figures establishes a safe player count for those allocations. Use the provider’s slot policy and your own monitoring to decide whether an upgrade is warranted.

Managed hosting versus running Hytale yourself

Managed Hytale hosting

A managed plan bundles the server environment with a control panel or support workflow. The provider generally handles machine provisioning, operating-system maintenance and network configuration, while you manage the game world and settings. This is usually the simplest route if you want to play rather than administer a server.

Managed hosting is not automatically the lowest total cost. Compare the recurring price, included backups, file access, mod workflow, support response and migration options. A two-slot entry plan can also become more expensive than a larger plan if your group needs additional capacity immediately.

DIY server on a VPS or dedicated machine

The official manual documents a self-managed route: obtain the server files, install Java 25, authenticate the server, configure it and run the dedicated server process. It recommends the downloader CLI for production servers and describes OAuth-based authentication. This gives an experienced administrator control over the environment and hardware architecture.

DIY hosting adds work that a monthly price does not show: operating-system updates, firewall rules, authentication, monitoring, backups, recovery and troubleshooting. The available evidence does not prove that a particular VPS, home computer or mini PC is cheaper or more reliable than managed hosting after administration time, electricity and connectivity are counted.

How to choose the cheapest plan that fits your group

  1. Count concurrent players. Write down the largest number likely to be online at once, not just the number of people in your community.
  2. List your software load. Note the intended mods, plugins, worlds and any scheduled tasks. Ask the host whether those files and versions are supported.
  3. Map your players. Choose a region close to most players and check whether the provider offers a location that avoids cross-continent latency.
  4. Read the slot definition. Determine whether slots are a hard cap, a billing unit or merely a recommendation. Confirm whether changing the limit costs extra.
  5. Calculate the real recurring total. Record the currency, tax treatment, billing period, introductory duration, renewal price and cancellation terms.
  6. Test the operational features. Verify file manager or SFTP access, mod installation, automated backups, manual downloads and restoration steps before committing a long billing period.
  7. Check the upgrade route. Find out whether RAM and slots can be increased in place, how long a resize takes and whether your world data remains intact.
  8. Start small only when the exit is easy. A low tier is sensible when you can export your world and upgrade without a forced migration or long support delay.

Checklist for verifying a €4.99-style offer

  • Is the displayed currency appropriate for your billing address?
  • Is €4.99 a monthly recurring amount or a one-time promotional period?
  • What amount appears at renewal?
  • Are taxes, setup fees or mandatory backups added at checkout?
  • Does the plan really include 4 GB of memory continuously?
  • Are two slots a hard maximum?
  • Can you install the Hytale server version and your required mods?
  • Where is the server physically located?
  • How frequently are backups made, and can you download one?
  • Can support restore a damaged world, and what does that service cost?
  • Can you upgrade without changing the server address or rebuilding the world?

Common mistakes that make a cheap server a bad deal

Confusing minimum requirements with capacity

The 4 GB and Java 25 statement from the official manual is a compatibility floor. It is not a promise that a 4 GB commercial plan supports a fixed number of players or a particular modpack.

Comparing promotional prices as if they recur

An introductory month can make one host look cheaper than another even when its renewal price is higher. Put the introductory and recurring amounts side by side before deciding.

Ignoring location

A few euros saved each month may not compensate for poor latency. Select the region that serves your players, then compare prices among plans in that region.

Assuming a backup exists because the word appears on a sales page

Ask whether backups are automatic, how long they are retained, whether they include the complete world and configuration, and how restoration works. Keep an independent copy of irreplaceable worlds.

Buying by RAM alone

CPU allocation, storage performance, network quality, file access and support all affect the practical experience. RAM is necessary, but it is not a complete specification.

What is the best Hytale server hosting provider?

There is no evidence-based universal “best” provider in the published comparisons. The best choice is the plan that meets your group’s capacity and location requirements at a clearly stated recurring price, with usable backups and a low-friction upgrade path. For a two-player trial, the dated €4.99 Hosterfy Copper listing is a reasonable price reference. For larger groups, compare the 6 GB and 8 GB examples against their actual slot limits and renewal prices rather than assuming the cheapest tier will scale.

Bottom line

Godlike.Host is listed first here for Hytale server hosting, with up to three free backups a day, restore and SFTP/FTP access. Use €4.99 per month as a dated benchmark, not a guaranteed current winner. A good low-cost Hytale server is one that combines adequate memory and slots with nearby latency, mod and file access, dependable recovery, transparent renewal terms and an easy upgrade path. Verify those details at checkout for your region, and treat the official 4 GB requirement as the minimum to run the software—not as a performance guarantee.
