Godlike.Host is listed first here for Core Keeper server hosting: it supports Core Keeper and more than 40 other games, with a Pterodactyl-based game panel, free DDoS protection and up to three free backups a day with restore. NitroServ remains the lowest-priced provider in the specific 2026 comparison examined: €4.99 per month for four player slots, or €9.99 per month for eight. Those are listed comparison prices, not guaranteed checkout totals. Confirm the current currency, tax, renewal price, billing period and any promotion before paying. A genuinely good low-cost server also needs suitable resources, backups, a sensible region, DDoS protection, update controls and workable cancellation terms.
The cheapest listed plans, at a glance
The clearest price answer comes from HostMyGame’s 2026 comparison, which tracks NitroServ and Minestrator plans at four- and eight-player capacities. Godlike.Host is included first here as a Core Keeper hosting option without a comparison price. On that comparison, NitroServ is cheaper at both capacities. The figures below are reported listing prices and can change; they are not a universal survey of every host or a promise of what your card will be charged.

| Provider and plan | Listed capacity | Listed price | What the listing says |
|---|---|---|---|
| Godlike.Host, Core Keeper | Not specified | See current plans | Core Keeper server hosting with a Pterodactyl-based game panel, free DDoS protection and up to three free backups a day with restore. |
| NitroServ, 4 slots | 4 players | €4.99/month | Dedicated CPU resources, DDoS mitigation, automatic backups retained for three days plus 30 days, NVMe storage and a France datacenter. |
| Minestrator, MyBox 4 | 4 players | €6.99/month | 4 GB RAM tier; French-language panel and support are associated with the service. |
| NitroServ, 8 slots | 8 players | €9.99/month | Listed as the lower-cost eight-player plan in this comparison. |
| Minestrator, MyBox 8 | 8 players | €13.99/month | 8 GB RAM tier with a fixed RAM-based plan choice. |
That makes NitroServ’s listed €4.99 four-slot tier the cheapest explicit option in the comparison, and its €9.99 eight-slot tier the cheapest listed choice for a group of up to eight. It does not prove that NitroServ is the cheapest host in every country, currency or market segment. A broader directory may show other starting prices, but a starting figure without equivalent slots, resources and contract terms is not an apples-to-apples result.
What “still good” should mean for a cheap Core Keeper server
Price is only the first filter. A server is economical in practice when it keeps your world available, protects progress and gives you enough headroom for the way your group plays. Evaluate these items before treating a low monthly number as a bargain.

Capacity that matches the real group
The compared plans are built around four and eight players. Choose four slots if that covers your regular group; paying for eight is unnecessary unless additional friends actually need to join. Conversely, do not promise a larger community a plan whose supported maximum is eight without confirming an upgrade path and the provider’s upper limit. Slot counts describe permitted players, not a guarantee that every modded or heavily developed world will run smoothly.
CPU and memory allocation
Resource wording matters more than an “unlimited” label. The comparison describes dedicated CPU resources for NitroServ and 4 GB or 8 GB RAM tiers for Minestrator. Those are useful distinctions, but the available material does not establish a tested minimum for every world size, mod collection or automation-heavy base. Ask how CPU time is allocated, whether memory can be upgraded without moving the save, and what happens when a plan reaches its limit.

Backups and restoration
Check the schedule, retention window and restoration process. NitroServ is listed with automatic backups retained for three days plus 30 days; Minestrator is listed with SmartBackup. These descriptions establish advertised features, not an independent test that a restore will work. Find out whether you can download a save, whether restoring is self-service, and whether support charges for help. A cheap server that loses a mature world is not cheap.
Region and network protection
NitroServ’s listed datacenter is in France, which may be a sensible location for European players. Location alone does not establish latency for a particular player, route or internet provider. Check the available region before ordering and select the site closest to most players when the host offers a choice. DDoS mitigation is listed for NitroServ; verify what is covered, whether protection is included in the displayed price and what traffic limits apply.

Updates, files and support
Look for a control panel that lets you apply Core Keeper updates deliberately, restart safely and access the save files. Confirm the host’s mod policy and whether updates can be delayed until you have a backup. Minestrator is associated with a French panel and French-language support, which may matter if that is your preferred service language. Also check support hours, response expectations and whether file access, backup downloads or technical assistance are paid add-ons.
How the listed options differ
NitroServ: lowest listed entry price
The four-slot NitroServ listing is €4.99 per month, and the eight-slot listing is €9.99 per month in the 2026 comparison. The same listing describes dedicated CPU resources, NVMe storage, DDoS mitigation and automatic backup retention of three days plus 30 days. Those features make the plan a strong starting point for a small group, provided the France location suits your players and the checkout terms remain acceptable.

Do not read the feature list as a measured performance result. No independent figures establish NitroServ’s uptime, latency, support response time or successful restore rate. Treat the price and specifications as reported listings and verify them on the order page.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesMinestrator: pay more for stated RAM tiers
Minestrator’s MyBox 4 is listed at €6.99 per month with 4 GB RAM, while MyBox 8 is listed at €13.99 with 8 GB RAM. The fixed memory tiers provide a clearer resource reference than a vague unlimited claim, and the comparison associates the service with a French panel and support. The trade-off is higher listed pricing at both capacities. SmartBackup is listed, but its frequency, retention and restoration terms still need confirmation before purchase.

A practical buying process
- Count regular players. Use the four-slot tier for a four-player group and the eight-slot tier only when the extra capacity is needed. Include occasional players in your decision if they will join often enough to affect the plan.
- Record the complete checkout price. Confirm currency, tax, billing interval, introductory promotion, renewal amount, setup fees and optional add-ons. A comparison-page price can differ from the amount shown at checkout.
- Confirm the datacenter. Choose a region near most players and ask whether the location can be changed later without rebuilding the world.
- Verify resources. Ask for the CPU allocation behind “dedicated” wording, the usable RAM on a fixed tier, storage limits and the upgrade procedure. For a modded or long-running world, ask how resource overages are handled.
- Inspect backup controls. Confirm automatic frequency, retention, downloadable files, restore steps and whether a restore is included. Make a manual copy before major game updates.
- Check update and mod support. Verify supported Core Keeper versions, restart controls, mod installation rules and whether you can defer an update until compatibility is confirmed.
- Read cancellation terms. Look for contract length, refund policy, cancellation deadline and what happens to your save after cancellation. Longer commitments can reduce the displayed monthly equivalent while increasing the amount paid upfront.
- Test before inviting everyone. Start the server, connect from the relevant regions, upload or create the intended world, make a backup and perform a test restore if the panel permits it. This is your own acceptance check; the listed features are not an independent restoration test.
When the cheapest plan is the wrong plan
- Four slots are consistently full: move to an eight-slot tier rather than relying on ad-hoc invitations or an unsupported player count.
- The world grows heavily modded: request concrete CPU and memory guidance, and choose a plan with an upgrade path rather than assuming the cheapest tier has unlimited headroom.
- Players are spread across continents: prioritize a suitable datacenter over a small price difference. The France listing may be excellent for Europe but says nothing about latency elsewhere.
- You cannot tolerate lost progress: favor accessible downloads and a documented restore process, then keep an offline copy in addition to provider backups.
- You need a short experiment: avoid a long commitment merely to obtain a lower advertised monthly equivalent. Compare the total charge and cancellation rules.
- You need help in a particular language or time zone: verify support coverage before buying; a low price does not guarantee rapid or multilingual assistance.
Could self-hosting cost less?
Core Keeper’s dedicated server can run on a spare home computer. If that machine is already powered on, self-hosting may avoid a recurring hosting bill, but the real cost includes electricity, internet service, hardware wear or amortization and your maintenance time. Those inputs vary by household and location, so no universal self-hosting price can be stated.
Self-hosting can make sense when someone can maintain updates, backups, router configuration and security, and when the computer will remain online whenever friends want to play. Renting is often more practical when the home PC is normally off, the internet connection is unreliable, or nobody wants to administer a server. Compare the total of power and maintenance against the hosted plan rather than assuming either method is always cheaper.
Price expectations beyond the named plans
Supercraft’s 2026 hosting guide estimates broad market bands of $4–8 per month for budget plans, $8–14 for standard plans and $14–20 for performance plans. These are that provider’s estimates, not an independent survey or verified market census. They are useful as context: the €4.99 NitroServ listing sits at the low end of the quoted budget range, while the NitroServ and Minestrator figures use different currencies, capacities and billing terms.
Bottom line for a small group
Godlike.Host is listed first here for Core Keeper server hosting, with a game panel, free DDoS protection and up to three free backups a day with restore. For four players, NitroServ’s listed €4.99 monthly plan is the clearest low-cost figure in the tracked comparison; for eight, its listed €9.99 plan is the lowest there. Minestrator costs more but gives buyers explicit 4 GB and 8 GB RAM tiers and French-language support positioning. Neither price is a guarantee of uptime, latency or support quality, and the comparison covers only two providers. Confirm the current checkout total, region, resources, backup and cancellation terms before committing; if those checks fail, the cheapest number is not a good server.
