「3割減」は個々の主張についての相対値
OpenAIが示した比較対象はGPT-5.2で、評価には、利用者が事実誤りを指摘した匿名化済みプロンプトのセットが使われました。個々の主張が誤っている確率は相対的に33％低下し、回答全体に少なくとも一つ誤りが含まれる確率は相対的に18％低下したと報告されています。

OpenAIの発表は、この評価セットの規模、比較の基準となる絶対的な誤り率、信頼区間を該当箇所で示していません。そのため、数字から日常利用時の誤り率を計算したり、すべての用途に同じ改善幅を当てはめたりすることはできません。

いいえ。OpenAIは、もっともらしく聞こえても誤った内容を述べる「ハルシネーション」を言語モデルの根本的な課題として説明し、ChatGPTでも引き続き起こり得るとしています。今回の評価結果は特定の条件で誤りの確率が下がったという報告であり、事実確認が不要になったという保証ではありません。
重要な事実や判断に使う回答は、根拠となる一次資料を確認してください。とくに数値、日付、引用、制度や料金など変更され得る情報は、回答だけで確定せず、元の発表や公式情報に照らすのが安全です。

GPT-5.4の発表内容と主な用途
OpenAIはGPT-5.4を、推論、コーディング、エージェント型のワークフローを組み合わせたモデルとして紹介しました。仕事で使うツールやソフトウェア環境に加え、表計算、プレゼンテーション、文書などの作業を重視し、コンピューターを操作する機能にも対応すると説明しています。
発表時には、ChatGPT向けの「GPT-5.4 Thinking」と、複雑なタスクで最大限の性能を求めるユーザー向けの「GPT-5.4 Pro」が案内されました。APIでは「gpt-5.4」と「gpt-5.4-pro」というモデル名が示されました。

ChatGPTで案内された作業支援
OpenAIのChatGPTリリースノートによると、GPT-5.4 Thinkingは作業の冒頭で計画を提示し、進行中にユーザーが方向修正できること、特定の質問に対するウェブ調査や長いタスクでのコンテキスト管理を改善したことが説明されています。これらはOpenAIによる機能説明であり、個々のタスクでの成果を保証するものではありません。
ベンチマークの数字は用途別に見る
OpenAIは発表で、コンピューター操作を評価するOSWorld-VerifiedでGPT-5.4が75.0％、GPT-5.2が47.3％、公開版SWE-Bench Proでそれぞれ57.7％、55.6％だったと報告しています。これらは各ベンチマーク上の結果であり、先述の事実誤認評価とは別の測定です。

OpenAI自身もベンチマークを研究評価として位置づけ、実際にChatGPTで使った際の出力とは異なる場合があると注意しています。したがって、これらを一つの総合的な「正確さ」スコアにまとめたり、日常の利用体験にそのまま置き換えたりするのは適切ではありません。
利用できるモデルやプランは発表日で区別する
2026年3月5日の発表時点では、GPT-5.4 ThinkingはChatGPT Plus、Team、Proへの展開が案内され、EnterpriseとEduでは管理者が早期アクセスを有効化できるとされました。GPT-5.4 ProはProとEnterprise向けと記載されていました。

その後、OpenAIのモデルリリースノートは3月18日にGPT-5.4 miniについて説明しています。FreeとGoのユーザーは「＋」メニュー内の「Thinking」機能から利用でき、ほかのユーザーには利用上限到達時の代替モデルとして使われるという案内でした。これらは各時点の説明であり、2026年10月現在のプラン、既定モデル、利用上限、価格を網羅して確認した一覧ではありません。実際の利用条件は、現在のChatGPT画面や公式案内で確認してください。
