Many celebrities, creators and public figures use Snapchat, but there is no single public directory that stays current. Usernames can change, profiles can be abandoned and search results can include fan accounts. The safest approach is to find a celebrity’s Public Profile in the Snapchat app, look for Snapchat’s Snap Star label, and confirm the account through a current official website or verified social account.
Important: The example handles below are leads, not permanent proof. Check each profile in Snapchat before following. Record the date you checked it, because availability and activity can change.
Quick answer
- Search: Open Snapchat, use Search, and look for the celebrity’s name and likely username.
- Verify: Open the matching Public Profile and compare its biography, links and profile image with the celebrity’s other official channels.
- Snap Star: This label means Snapchat has verified the public figure or creator; it is not based only on follower count. Snapchat explains the Snap Star program.
- Snapchat+: A Snapchat+ badge indicates a paid subscription, not identity verification. Snapchat’s account-label guidance says it does not prove celebrity status.
- Following is free: You do not need Snapchat+ merely to follow a celebrity’s Public Profile. Paid Creator Subscriptions are a separate, optional feature.

These handles were listed by third-party account trackers at the dates shown. They should be treated as starting points until the current Snapchat profile and its label or first-party link are checked.

How to expand the list responsibly
Organize additional discoveries by musicians, actors and television personalities, reality stars, comedians, athletes, influencers, beauty and fashion figures, and regional or international celebrities. For every entry, record the exact display name, username, Snap Star status, content type, whether it has posted within a defined period, the date checked and the evidence used. If you cannot find the profile in the current app or link it from a current first-party channel, leave it out.
How to find a celebrity on Snapchat
- Open Snapchat and tap the search field.
- Search the celebrity’s real name, stage name and likely username.
- Open the matching Public Profile rather than a Spotlight video or fan post.
- Check the display name, profile photo, biography, linked accounts and recent content.
- Look for the Snap Star label or another official account indicator.
- Compare the profile with a link from the celebrity’s official website or verified Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or X account.
- Choose Subscribe or Add, depending on what that profile offers.
Public Profiles are designed to make creators and public figures discoverable and can show Stories, Lenses and audience information. Menu wording and button placement can vary by account type, app version, age and geography. Snapchat’s Public Profile help information is at Snapchat Support.

How to tell whether a celebrity account is real
- Look for the Snap Star label, but remember that a genuine public figure may not have one.
- Verify that a current official website or verified social account links to the same Snapchat username.
- Compare biography wording, profile images and external links across channels.
- Do not trust a similar username, a reposted celebrity video or a screenshot of a badge.
- Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, banking details, passwords or a supposed “verification fee.” Snapchat says it does not charge for Snap Star verification and no third party can guarantee it. See Snap’s verification guidance.
- Report suspected impersonation through Snapchat’s official reporting tools.

A Public Profile can contain temporary Stories, saved Stories, Spotlight videos and augmented-reality Lenses. Snapchat’s developer documentation describes these formats at Public Profile API: Introduction.

Add, follow and subscribe: what each means
- Add: Usually refers to a friend connection or account relationship.
- Follow or Subscribe: Lets you receive public content from a creator or Public Profile; labels vary by account and app version.
- Creator Subscription: A paid relationship with a participating creator. Benefits can include direct Snaps, subscriber-only Stories and priority replies. Details are account- and market-dependent; see Snapchat’s Creator Subscriptions help page.
- Snapchat+: A separate paid Snapchat product, not a celebrity-fan subscription and not an identity check.
Snap announced Creator Subscriptions with an initial rollout to selected U.S.-based creators and plans for expansion; availability can change by market and account. Read the launch announcement. Can you message a celebrity?
You may be able to reply to a Public Story or use another available interaction, but a celebrity may never see it personally. Public creators can receive large volumes of replies, which may be filtered, moderated or handled by a team. Snapchat says subscriber replies can receive priority in a creator’s reply list, while the creator still chooses whether to view, answer or share them. A reply, screenshot or claimed private conversation is not proof that the celebrity personally operates the account.
Why old celebrity Snapchat lists are unreliable
Snapchat usernames and posting habits change quickly. A Us Weekly list published April 9, 2016, for example, is historical context rather than a current directory. Handles may have been renamed, abandoned or reassigned. Search results can also surface fan accounts and celebrity-related Spotlight content; a video featuring a star does not show that the star owns the publishing account. A practical update policy
- Check every listed account in the app before publication and display a “Checked on” date.
- Define “active,” such as a public post within the previous 30 days, and record the result.
- Prefer a Snap Star label or a current first-party link over a username database.
- Recheck monthly or quarterly and after major Snapchat interface changes.
- Remove renamed, inactive or inaccessible accounts instead of preserving stale handles.
- Do not publish undated follower counts or imply that every celebrity offers subscriptions.
