Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is scheduled for October 15, 2026, on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. KONAMI’s product page lists a Nintendo Switch version but no separate Nintendo Switch 2 edition. GamesRadar+ reports that the Switch version can be played on Switch 2, but the publisher has not explained why it has not listed a native Switch 2 version.
Is Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse coming to Switch 2?
KONAMI’s official product page lists the game for Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, with an October 15, 2026 release date. It does not list Switch 2 as a distinct platform. That means there is no dedicated Switch 2 edition announced on the page; it does not establish that KONAMI will never announce one.

GamesRadar+ reports that the Nintendo Switch version can be played on Switch 2. That is a reported compatibility claim, not a guarantee covering every configuration or a statement that the game has a Switch 2-specific upgrade.

KONAMI has not stated why its product listing names Nintendo Switch without a separate Switch 2 edition. The available official pages do not establish whether the omission reflects a technical, commercial or scheduling decision, so those explanations should not be treated as fact.

GamesRadar+ says former Nintendo of America senior PR manager Kit Ellis questioned the platform plan in a social-media video. Ellis said, “The way Konami has handled this game has been a little weird.” He also described it as a Switch game that can be played on Switch 2 but has no dedicated Switch 2 version. Those are Ellis’s comments, not an explanation from KONAMI.
What did Kit Ellis say about the demo?
Ellis said the demo ran at 60 frames per second on Switch 2 and looked “a little blocky, a little bit chunky.” GamesRadar+ attributes those impressions to him; they are not independent performance testing.

KONAMI’s demo page lists 60 fps generally and 30 fps for the Nintendo Switch version. The 30 fps figure is the official specification for that listed Switch version, not a Switch 2-specific measurement. The two statements describe different things: KONAMI’s listed specification and Ellis’s reported observation while playing the demo on Switch 2.
Which platform should you choose?
The announced versions differ first by the platform you own and whether you require a dedicated Switch 2 edition. KONAMI has not published comparative resolution, loading-time or enhancement details for these versions.

What is included in the Switch editions?
KONAMI’s product page lists digital editions and a physical Midnight Edition for Nintendo Switch. The Midnight Edition includes the main game, a digital sound and art gallery, and three in-game bonuses. The page also names Amazon among retailers, but that listing does not confirm current stock or a particular offer. Check the live listing for the exact platform and edition; purchasing the Switch version does not mean you are buying a dedicated Switch 2 edition.
What is Belmont’s Curse about?
KONAMI describes Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse as a 2D action-exploration game set 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Its story features Rose Belmont.

Can demo progress carry over?
KONAMI says demo save data can transfer to the full game only when the demo and full game are played on the same platform and account, with the relevant save data retained. The demo page lists PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam; it does not list Switch 2 separately.
