Not necessarily. YouTube’s appeal guidance says a successful Community Guidelines appeal can reinstate the appealed content and remove its strike, but it does not explicitly guarantee that live-streaming access will automatically return in every case. Check your channel’s current status in YouTube Studio and read the appeal and restriction notices before scheduling another stream.
What an approved appeal does—and does not—confirm
YouTube describes the result of a successful appeal in terms of the appealed content and its strike: if YouTube finds the content followed its Community Guidelines, it reinstates the content and removes the strike. If it finds the content compliant but unsuitable for all audiences, it may instead apply an age restriction. Each strike may be appealed only once.

That decision is not the same as an express confirmation that live streaming is available again. YouTube’s separate live-stream guidance sets channel eligibility requirements, and its restriction guidance describes situations in which access may be temporarily or permanently turned off. A separate or still-active limitation may therefore matter even after the appealed strike is removed.

Check whether your channel is eligible now
YouTube’s stated baseline requirements for live streaming are no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days and a verified channel. Live streamers must also be at least 16 years old. YouTube notes that other streaming methods may have additional requirements.

- Read the appeal result email. Confirm whether YouTube reinstated the content and removed the strike, or applied an age restriction. Do not infer the outcome from the appeal being marked complete alone.
- Review Channel violations in YouTube Studio. Check whether the relevant strike is still shown and whether any other channel violation is listed.
- Check the live-stream access or restriction notice. Look for an active restriction and use the appeal or response instructions provided in that notice if access remains disabled.
- Confirm the baseline requirements. Make sure the channel is verified, there has been no live-streaming restriction in the past 90 days, and you meet YouTube’s minimum age requirement.
- Check the streaming method. If you are using a particular app, encoder, or other method, verify that you meet any additional requirements for that method.
- Confirm access before scheduling. Use the status shown in your own YouTube Studio account rather than assuming the appeal result restored access.
Why live streaming may still be disabled
YouTube identifies policy-related and copyright-related reasons for restricting live streaming. A strike on an active or archived live stream may also disable access. These causes are separate from the question of whether a particular appealed item was reinstated.
- A separate restriction is active: Read the live-stream notice and follow its stated instructions.
- A copyright-related restriction applies: Check the relevant YouTube notice and any account status details in Studio; the outcome of a Community Guidelines appeal does not itself resolve a separate copyright matter.
- The channel has not been verified: Complete channel verification, then check the live-stream status again.
- An eligibility requirement is unmet: Check the 90-day restriction rule and minimum age requirement, as well as any additional requirements for your chosen streaming method.
- The status is unclear: Compare the appeal result email with the current Studio display and the specific restriction notice. The channel-specific status is the relevant indication for your account.
Do not try to bypass an active restriction
YouTube prohibits using another channel to live stream while a restriction is active. It warns that circumventing a restriction may result in termination. Resolve the restriction through the notice and account process rather than moving the stream to another channel.

Is there a set wait after approval?
YouTube’s reviewed help guidance does not state a universal waiting period between approval of an appeal and restoration of live-streaming access. Avoid relying on a fixed number of hours or days. Check Studio and the restriction notice for your channel’s actual status; if access is still disabled, follow the instructions displayed there.
