OneStream Live documents a workflow that imports videos from Dropbox, but its help center says the 24/7 feature is YouTube-only, requires an Enterprise plan, and allows a scheduled stream of up to 30 days. Simply playing or previewing a video in Dropbox does not broadcast it to YouTube.

What Dropbox playback does—and does not—mean
A file that plays in Dropbox is not automatically ready to be broadcast as a YouTube live stream. Dropbox documents playback and preview behavior for audio and video files; compatibility can depend on the format and account context. YouTube setup and practical checks
- Enable live streaming: YouTube says first-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours. Allow time for that before a planned launch.
- Use the correct ingest details: For an encoder workflow, configure the YouTube Live server URL and stream key in the encoder. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a stream to your channel.
- Check the stream before scheduling a long run: Confirm the selected channel, video sequence, audio, and stream details in the service you use. The sources do not establish identical format support across services.
- Plan for the archive: YouTube’s encoder guidance says automatic archive eligibility applies to streams under 12 hours. Do not assume a broadcast lasting 12 hours or longer will be automatically archived.

- The video plays in Dropbox but is not live on YouTube: Dropbox playback is separate from broadcasting. Use a service that imports the file into a scheduled stream, or send it through an encoder configured with YouTube’s server URL and stream key.
