Use the correct attachment for each job: a shared handle does not mean every comb or head is interchangeable. Some body groomers are intended only for below-the-neck use, and some manufacturers tell you to keep a body comb separate from facial grooming.
Check what your exact trimmer is made for
Look up the model number and read its manual or manufacturer support page. A trimmer marketed and instructed for face and body can be used for both; a dedicated body groomer may not be suitable for facial hair. Do not assume that a multi-attachment handle makes every attachment appropriate for every area.

For example, Philips describes OneBlade as designed for facial and body hair. Its Face & Body versions include body attachments, while a face-only model may require a separately sold body kit. Keep combs and guards area-specific when instructed
Philips says: “Do not use the same comb on your face and other body parts for hygienic reasons.” That instruction applies to the OneBlade body comb; it is a reason to keep that attachment separate, not evidence that sharing a trimmer handle creates a quantified infection risk. Use the attachment intended for the area, and clean the device and attachments according to the manual. For OneBlade intimate-area grooming, Philips directs users to clean the hair before shaving, use the sensitive skin guard, make smooth movements, and clean the attachment and device after use. Do not use a body-only groomer on your face by assumption
Philips does not recommend using Bodygroom models BG7020/40, BG7030/49, or BG7040/42 on the face or head: the result may be unsuitable and the device may damage skin. For these models, Philips recommends the adjustable comb for body trimming and warns against using the trimmer head without a comb on sensitive areas such as the pubic region. Choose the right attachment for a multi-groom kit
Multi-groom kits may include a body groomer or skin protector for below-the-neck grooming alongside precision attachments for facial lines and contours. Quick check before using one trimmer for both
- Confirm the exact model is approved for both facial and body hair.
- Check which combs, guards, or heads are intended for each area, and keep attachments separate if the manufacturer says to.
- Use any required guard on sensitive areas; do not use a bare head where the manual warns against it.
- Check kit contents and accessory compatibility for your model and region; a body attachment may not be included.
- Clean the trimmer and attachments as directed by the manufacturer.
