What ATM10 runs on
All the Mods 10 is a large Minecraft modpack distributed for NeoForge. The CurseForge listing identifies the pack as targeting Minecraft 1.21.1 and provides a dedicated ServerFiles download. ATMTeam describes the pack as containing around 500 mods. The latest file identified in the available listing is ATM10-8.2 for 1.21.1 NeoForge, dated September 22, 2026.
That server software choice determines which extensions can load. A standard ATM10 installation is a NeoForge modded server, not a Paper or Spigot server with a mod loader added afterward. The server expects the NeoForge runtime and the modpack’s own files to be present together.

Why ordinary Bukkit plugins do not load
Bukkit, Paper and Spigot plugins are compiled against APIs exposed by those server projects. NeoForge exposes a different modding API, lifecycle and event system. Although both approaches can add commands or change gameplay, their binaries, mappings and hooks are not interchangeable.
For that reason, copying a plugin JAR into an ATM10 directory normally produces one of three outcomes: the file is ignored, the server reports that it is not a valid mod, or startup fails while the loader tries to process an incompatible file. A folder named plugins does not provide the missing Bukkit API.
ATM’s published setup guidance does not promise native Bukkit plugin loading. Its supported path is to run the pack’s NeoForge server files. You should therefore assume that a Paper plugin, Spigot plugin or Bukkit plugin is incompatible unless a separately maintained compatibility layer explicitly supports your exact versions.
Supported ATM10 server setup
Use this process when stability and support for the modpack matter more than running a particular Bukkit plugin.

- Choose one ATM10 release. Download the matching Server Files package for the pack version you want to run. Do not mix files from different ATM10 releases.
- Extract the archive into a clean server directory. Keeping the installation separate from other Minecraft servers makes updates and rollback easier.
- Run the included start script. The script starts the NeoForge server using the versions and libraries selected by the pack.
- Accept the EULA when prompted. Stop the process if necessary, make the required EULA acceptance, then start the script again.
- Configure the server. Set the world, access controls, view settings and other server properties before inviting players. Keep a copy of the untouched extracted files for recovery.
- For a third-party host, use a fresh NeoForge instance where possible. ATM’s guide recommends uploading the extracted Server Files and basing the installation on the pack version rather than replacing the server software with Paper or Spigot.
- Test with the matching client pack. ATM10 clients generally need the same modpack release as the server. A plugin-only change does not remove the requirement for client-side ATM10 mods.
This setup is the reference point for troubleshooting. If a feature works on this clean installation, any later failure introduced by a hybrid layer can be isolated more easily.
Can a hybrid jar run ATM10 mods and plugins together?
Possibly, but only conditionally. A March 27, 2025 Minecraft Forum reply described ATM10 as a “1.21.1 NeoForge modpack” and named Mohist and its fork Youer as projects intended to support Forge or NeoForge alongside Bukkit, Paper or Spigot plugins. The same reply said that a 1.21.1 build was not available at that time.

Hybrid software has to translate events, permissions, commands, mappings and other server internals between two ecosystems.

- The ATM10 pack version, such as the 8.2 release identified for 1.21.1.
- The precise Minecraft and NeoForge versions required by that pack.
- The hybrid build’s supported Minecraft version and whether it supports NeoForge rather than Forge only.
- Every plugin’s supported Minecraft and Bukkit/Paper/Spigot API version.
- Mods that alter networking, entities, permissions, commands or other server internals.
- How the hybrid project handles updates, crash reports and known incompatibilities.
Back up the world and test a copy before changing the production server. Keep the original NeoForge installation available so you can return to it without converting or risking the live world.

If a required feature exists as a maintained NeoForge server-side mod or configuration option, that is usually the lower-risk answer. If the only available implementation is a Bukkit plugin, a hybrid server may be worth testing, but it should be treated as a separate compatibility project rather than a routine ATM10 setting.

How to test a hybrid without risking your world
- Clone the server directory and world. Never perform the first hybrid launch on the only copy of a live world.
- Record the working baseline. Note the ATM10 release, Minecraft version, NeoForge version, Java runtime and startup arguments from the clean server.
- Install only the hybrid build first. Start with no third-party plugins so you can confirm that the modpack itself reaches the title or console-ready state.
- Add one plugin at a time. After each addition, start the server, join with a matching client and test commands, permissions, entities, inventories and any scheduled tasks the plugin uses.
- Inspect logs after every change. Warnings about missing events, class-loading errors, mixin failures, rejected packets or permission providers are signs that the combination is not safe to deploy.
- Run a representative play session. Test dimensions, chunk loading, automation, player death and recovery, server restarts and backups. A server that reaches the main menu can still fail during normal gameplay.
- Define a rollback point. Keep the clean NeoForge copy and a backup made immediately before the hybrid test. If crashes or data corruption appear, stop the server and restore the baseline rather than repeatedly changing files on the same world.
Common problems and what they mean
The plugin is ignored
On an official NeoForge installation, this is expected. The server has no Bukkit API or plugin manager. Replace the plugin with a NeoForge-native equivalent, or move the test to a verified hybrid build.
The server says the JAR is not a valid mod
The file is being read by NeoForge’s mod loader even though it was built for Bukkit, Paper or Spigot. Do not rename it or place it in another mod folder; that changes neither its API nor its binary format.

The hybrid server starts but a plugin command fails
Check the plugin’s required API version, then test whether the hybrid layer implements the events or permission system that command needs. A command appearing in help does not prove that its listeners, economy hooks or protections work correctly.

Confirm that the hybrid build supports the exact Minecraft and NeoForge versions used by the ATM10 pack. Recheck the client’s ATM10 release and compare the startup log for handshake or mod-list errors. If the clean NeoForge server accepts the same client, the hybrid layer is the primary variable.
Crashes begin after an ATM10 update
Pack updates can change NeoForge, mappings, mod internals or network behavior. Recheck support for the new pack version before updating the hybrid jar or plugins. If no matching combination is documented, return to the official Server Files until one is available.

A host must allow custom NeoForge modpack files, the Java version required by the selected ATM10 release and enough memory for a pack described by ATMTeam as containing around 500 mods. Exact memory needs are not stated in the available ATM documentation and vary with player count, view distance, world activity and installed additions, so confirm the host’s current ATM10 support rather than relying on a generic modded-server plan.
Ask a host whether you can upload the supplied Server Files, choose the required NeoForge version, change startup arguments, access logs and restore world backups. If you are evaluating a hybrid jar, also confirm that custom server software is permitted; some managed panels support only their listed server types.
Keeping the server maintainable
Pin the ATM10, Minecraft and NeoForge versions instead of updating them independently. Keep a change log for every mod, hybrid build and plugin, and make a backup before each change. When an update is required, test the complete set together on a copied world, then schedule the production update only after players can connect and the server survives a restart.
For administration, first check whether the needed permissions, moderation, claims, backups or commands can be provided by a NeoForge-native server-side mod or configuration. That keeps the server inside the ecosystem ATM documents and reduces the number of projects that must release compatible updates at the same time.
Bottom line
ATM10 does not natively support ordinary Bukkit, Paper or Spigot plugins because its supported server is NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1. Use the official ATM10 Server Files for the reliable path. A hybrid jar can potentially bridge the two plugin ecosystems, but support is version-specific, historically incomplete for 1.21.1, and capable of introducing mod conflicts and harder debugging. Test any hybrid setup on a backed-up copy and verify every component before putting it in production.
