Yes. You can use one Apple Account for Apple Music on devices in different countries, as long as the account has an active subscription and Apple Music is available where you are. Your library can sync across devices signed in to the same account, but Apple’s catalog and features can vary by country or region.
Using Apple Music while traveling
For a trip, keep using the Apple Account tied to your subscription. Crossing a border is not the same as changing the country or region on your account; Apple’s account-region process is intended for updating the account’s location, not as a routine travel setting.

Before you leave, check Apple’s country and region availability list for Apple Music and the content or features you want. Apple states that media availability and features vary by country or region. A track available at home may not be available in your destination.
Prepare music for offline listening
If you expect limited internet access, add and download the music you want before traveling. Apple supports downloads for offline playback, but its guidance does not promise that a download overrides subscription eligibility or regional rights restrictions. Do not assume every downloaded item will remain playable if those conditions change.

Using Apple Music after a permanent move
If you have moved permanently and want your Apple Account billed and served under your new country or region, you may consider changing the account region. Review Apple’s current country or region change requirements first. Apple may require a payment method and billing address valid in the new location, and some content may not be available there.
Before changing the account region
- Spend any remaining Apple Account balance.
- Cancel subscriptions that prevent the change and wait for their paid periods to end.
- Wait for memberships, pre-orders, rentals, season passes, and pending store-credit refunds to clear.
- Prepare a valid payment method and billing address for the new country or region if required.
- Redownload music and other content you may need, because some items might not be available after the move.
- Check your Family Sharing status; being a member may prevent you from changing the account region.
Apple’s support article provides the current account-setting routes for Apple devices, Windows, and the web; follow its instructions for your platform because interface labels can change.

What changes across countries—and what does not
Apple’s Sync Library guidance says devices signed in with the same Apple Account used for the subscription can access the music library. That supports using one subscription account on devices in different countries; it does not mean every country offers the same catalog, features, or subscription options. Apple’s official guidance puts it plainly: “Apple Music availability varies by country and region.”

Family Sharing has separate region rules
If your Apple Music access comes through a family subscription, check the group’s setup before changing an account region. Apple says Family Sharing members may be unable to change their country or region. Separately, its purchase-sharing rule requires all family members to be in the same country or region; a member who moves and updates account information may lose access to other members’ purchases. That purchase-sharing rule should not be read as proof that every family Apple Music subscription stops working whenever a member crosses a border.
