There is no VPN I can recommend for getting around Stake’s location restrictions. Stake.com prohibits using a VPN or proxy to evade geo-blocking, and Stake.us also treats location masking as grounds for account action. The two services have different rules, so check the terms for the specific platform and your actual location before trying to access either one.
Does a VPN let you play Stake from the US or another restricted location?
No. A VPN does not make you eligible to use a service where its rules or local law prohibit access. Stake.com lists the United States among its prohibited jurisdictions. Its Terms of Service, clause 14.4, says that trying to manipulate your real location with a VPN, proxy, similar service, or misleading residence information to get around geo-blocking or jurisdiction restrictions breaches clause 5. Stake.us has a separate set of terms. Those terms identify using a VPN or proxy to mask or manipulate a user’s real location as a reason for account action. Do not treat being able to load a website as proof that you are eligible to use it.
Stake.com and Stake.us are different services
The names are similar, but the platforms’ rules and descriptions are not interchangeable. The comparison below reflects the cited terms and help page; review the live rules before participating.

Which states does Stake.us list as restricted?
In a help article published July 10, 2026, Stake.us listed 23 restricted states and said the restrictions were due to regulations. The list is a dated snapshot from Stake.us, not a guarantee of current eligibility; check the current restricted-states page and the platform’s terms.

What to check before accessing either platform
- Identify the service. Confirm whether you are looking at Stake.com or Stake.us; do not apply one platform’s game description or eligibility rules to the other.
- Check the current terms and location rules. Use the relevant platform’s live terms and, for Stake.us, its current restricted-states page.
- Check your actual jurisdiction. Consult the regulator or official government guidance responsible for gambling or gaming where you are physically located. Rules can vary by state or country.
- Do not use a VPN to disguise your location. Both platforms’ terms address location masking, and disguising access does not establish eligibility or legality.
No particular service’s legality can be determined without knowing the reader’s location and checking the current rules there. If the platform or local regulator does not establish that participation is permitted for you, do not assume that technical access means it is allowed.
