The Samsung Level Box Mini’s EO-SG900 manual does not confirm that it can play audio while charging. Its startup instructions say to disconnect the charger before turning the speaker on, so that is the documented procedure. This does not prove that playback while charging is impossible.
What the manual says about using it while charging
Samsung’s EO-SG900 user manual, marked copyright 2014, gives this instruction for turning on the speaker: “Disconnect the charger from the Bluetooth speaker and turn on the speaker.” It does not state in that passage whether playback with the charger connected is allowed or prohibited.

In practical terms, simultaneous charging and playback is not confirmed by the manual. If you want to follow Samsung’s documented startup procedure, unplug the charger before switching the speaker on; do not treat the manual as proof that plugged-in playback cannot work.

The manual says to charge the speaker by connecting it to a computer or USB power adapter with a USB cable. It directs users to use Samsung-approved chargers and cables. Samsung’s August 19, 2014 product announcement says a micro USB cable was included with the speaker; if you need a replacement, check that it is compatible with the EO-SG900 rather than assuming a particular third-party cable is approved.

Charging indicator and estimated times
- The power button glows red while the speaker is charging and green when charging is complete.
- The manual estimates approximately 2 hours with a charger rated at 1 A or higher, or approximately 5 hours using a USB cable. These are Samsung’s estimates, based on tests with Samsung-approved chargers; the manual says charging time can vary depending on the environment.
Battery and playback-time context
Samsung listed a 1,600 mAh battery and up to 25 hours of music playback in its 2014 launch announcement. The 25-hour figure is a manufacturer specification, not a guarantee for every listening condition or an aged battery. It does not establish whether the speaker can play while charging.
The answer here is based on Samsung’s EO-SG900 user manual and its 2014 launch announcement; it is not a claim about the behavior of every individual unit, including aged or repaired speakers.
