The official catalogue and store evidence checked does not identify an official Gaelco arcade game release for Nintendo Switch. The Gaelco Arcade 1 and Gaelco Arcade 2 compilations found are Evercade cartridges, which do not work on Switch. Before buying, search your region’s Nintendo eShop for the exact game name: catalogues and regional availability can change.
Why Arcade Archives on Switch does not mean Gaelco games are available
Gaelco is the arcade-game company; Arcade Archives is a digital release line produced by HAMSTER. A game appearing in Arcade Archives does not mean the entire catalogue of every arcade publisher is included. Individual titles have to be checked.

HAMSTER’s official Arcade Archives catalogue lists releases and their platforms and original publishers. The catalogue pages examined include Switch games, but no Gaelco title was identified. This is a finding from the available catalogue evidence, not a guarantee that a Gaelco game could never be added or that every regional store listing is identical.

Nintendo’s US store lists Arcade Archives TYPHOON GAL as a digital Nintendo Switch game published by HAMSTER, released September 30, 2021. Nintendo describes configurable settings and worldwide high-score boards. It illustrates how an Arcade Archives title is distributed; it is not a Gaelco release. See Nintendo’s US store listing.

Where the Gaelco Arcade compilations are available
The Gaelco Arcade 1 and Gaelco Arcade 2 compilations identified in game-reference listings are Evercade cartridges, not Nintendo Switch software. They are an alternative only if you have compatible Evercade hardware; they cannot be inserted into or played on a Switch. The game lists below come from secondary references, so confirm current cartridge details and availability with Evercade before purchasing.
| Compilation | Games listed | Platform |
|---|---|---|
| Gaelco Arcade 1 | Alligator Hunt, Biomechanical Toy, Glass, Snow Board Championship, Thunder Hoop, World Rally | Evercade cartridge; not Switch-compatible |
| Gaelco Arcade 2 | Big Karnak, TH Strikes Back: Thunder Hoop 2, World Rally 2, Maniac Square, Squash, Touch and Go | Evercade cartridge; not Switch-compatible |
How to check the Switch catalogue before buying
- Open the Nintendo eShop on your Switch, or visit Nintendo’s store for your country or region.
- Search for the exact Gaelco game title, not just “Arcade Archives” or “Gaelco.”
- Check the product page’s platform, publisher and availability details. Do not assume a title listed for another platform is a Switch release.
If no Switch product page appears, the evidence available to you does not establish an official Switch release for that game. Recheck the eShop before a later purchase, since listings can change.

Why a controller or arcade stick is not enough
A Switch gamepad or compatible arcade stick only provides controls for supported software. It does not supply Gaelco game software, a licence, or a compatible release. To play a Gaelco title on Switch, there must be a Switch-compatible, officially available game; the sources checked do not identify one.
