Can you create a Roblox game directly on an iPad or Android tablet?
Roblox does not list an iPad or Android tablet version of Studio. Its installation documentation says Studio is available on Windows and Mac computers, and Roblox’s education FAQ says Studio cannot run on Chromebooks or mobile devices such as smartphones. The cited pages do not give a separate compatibility table for every tablet model or operating system, so the reliable guidance is to use a supported Windows or Mac computer for creating and publishing.

The Roblox app on a tablet is for playing experiences, not the Studio creation workflow. Roblox describes Studio as a free application for building and publishing experiences, while specifying Windows and Mac as its computer platforms. Build and test your experience in Studio. If tablet play matters, preview the interface with the Device Simulator before publishing.

Publish from Studio and select the device types you want players to use in the publishing flow. That setting controls player access; it does not let you run Studio on a tablet. Roblox’s publishing and device-selection guidance.
How to check a game’s tablet layout
Studio’s Device Simulator can preview phone and tablet form factors, screen dimensions, pixel density, touch input, and the on-screen keyboard. Use those previews to look for interface elements that are too small, controls that are difficult to tap, or buttons hidden when the keyboard appears. It is an emulation aid inside Studio—not a tablet edition of Studio—and Roblox labels the feature beta, so its behavior may change. Learn about Studio’s Device Simulator.

A simulator preview helps you catch layout and interaction problems, but it is not the same as testing on a physical tablet. If you can, try the published experience on the types of devices you expect players to use. Roblox’s device-emulation documentation identifies tablets as touchscreen form factors.
