Yes. When you complete a purchase of a full game on PlayStation Store, the sale ending changes the price—not the purchase. The game remains in the library of the PlayStation account that bought it, where you can download it again. A PlayStation Plus game is different: access may depend on an active subscription and whether the game remains available through the service.
What happens to a game you bought on sale?
A completed purchase stays associated with the purchasing PlayStation account after the discount ends. PlayStation directs customers to their library to find and download purchased games; the sale end date does not make the purchase expire. See PlayStation’s download instructions.

Is a sale purchase different from a PlayStation Plus game?
Yes. A game bought outright—even at a discount—is a purchase listed in that account’s library. A game accessed through PlayStation Plus is a subscription entitlement. PlayStation says Plus offerings and service features can change; access to a Plus game may end if the subscription lapses or the game leaves the service. Renewing the subscription or buying the game separately may restore access, depending on its availability. Check the PlayStation Plus Usage Terms for the US service.

If a purchased game is missing or locked
A lock or missing listing does not by itself mean the sale ending removed the game. Check the account and transaction first, then use PlayStation’s troubleshooting steps.

- Confirm the account: Sign in to the account that completed the purchase.
- Check the record: Look in transaction history for a successful purchase, as described in PlayStation’s game troubleshooting guidance.
- Check the library: Use Game Library > Your Collection on PS5 or Library > Purchased on PS4, then try downloading from there.
- For a Plus game: Verify that the subscription is active and that the game is still available through Plus.
- If the purchase is recorded but the game stays locked: Follow PlayStation’s license troubleshooting guidance or contact PlayStation Support.
Does the sale end date affect refunds or digital rights?
The sale’s duration is separate from the refund rules. For the US, PlayStation’s Store cancellation policy says a game or add-on may be canceled within 14 days of purchase if downloading or streaming has not started. Downloaded or streamed games are generally not eligible for a refund unless faulty. That is US refund guidance, not an expiry date for a sale purchase; check the policy and consumer protections that apply in your country or region.
Digital access is also subject to account terms. Sony Interactive Entertainment’s March 2026 terms for the UK and Ireland describe a digital product as a personal license for private use, not ownership, and say closing or deleting the purchasing account or account suspension may affect access.
