Your options depend on where you bought it, whether it was a purchase or subscription access, why it disappeared, when you bought it and your country. First check that it is not an account or library-view problem; then ask the storefront to restore access, provide a replacement or explain whether a refund is available.
First establish why the comic is missing
A title that no longer appears in your library may have been bought through a different account, hidden by a library filter, or affected by a sync or app problem. It may also have been withdrawn by the seller. Those situations can lead to different remedies, so do not assume that a missing listing means the purchase was cancelled or that a refund is owed.

Check the receipt to identify the storefront and account, and confirm whether you bought the comic outright, rented it or accessed it through a subscription. A subscription title is not necessarily a permanent purchase. Also note the title and edition or volume, purchase date, order number, device, and any removal notice or error message.

What the major storefronts say
Google Play Books
Google Play’s Terms of Service say Google may remove content or stop providing access in certain circumstances, including loss of relevant rights, discontinuation of a service or content, critical security issues, or a legal or terms breach. If you cannot download a copy before the removal or cessation, Google says it may offer a replacement, if possible, or a full or partial refund. That is a possible remedy under the terms, not a guaranteed refund. Google Play Terms of Service.
#1 Best Overall
For ebooks bought through the Play Books app or the Books tab in Google Play Store, Google’s help page says a refund request may be made within seven days of purchase. If the ebook does not work, a request may be made within 65 days. These are ebook-policy windows; do not assume they apply to every comic storefront or purchase channel. An approved refund may remove the ebook from your library, so a refund and restored access are different outcomes. Google Play Books refund policies.
Google says its refund policies can depend on what was bought, when and how it was paid for, and the buyer’s location. EEA and UK customers are directed to region-specific guidance for qualifying purchases. Google Play refund policy overview.

Apple
Apple lets customers submit refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com. Its support guidance also notes that in some countries and regions, digital goods and services may not be purchased through Apple, and that applicable consumer-law protections remain in effect. The process does not state that every later catalog removal automatically earns a refund. Apple Support refund guidance.
Apple’s North American Media Services terms provide for replacement or a refund, as determined by Apple, when technical problems prevent or unreasonably delay delivery of content. That clause addresses delivery problems; it is not a blanket promise for a comic removed later or for every jurisdiction. Apple Media Services terms.
Amazon Kindle and comiXology
Amazon’s Kindle and Fire Tablet terms page identifies the Kindle Store Terms of Use as the applicable terms. The material available here does not establish a current Amazon policy specifically promising a refund or replacement when a previously purchased Kindle or comiXology comic disappears because of rights or catalog changes. Check your Amazon account’s content management options and contact Amazon support; ask them to confirm the remedy under the current Kindle Store terms. Kindle E-Reader and Fire Tablet Terms.
How to report the missing comic
- Verify the purchase. Find the receipt, confirm which storefront charged you and sign in to the same account.
- Check the library. Review filters, other devices and accounts, and any relevant sync or app errors.
- Document the details. Record the title, edition or volume, purchase date, order number and whether it was bought, rented or accessed through a subscription. Save screenshots of the missing listing, error or withdrawal notice.
- Contact the storefront promptly. Ask whether access can be restored and whether there is a replacement edition. If it cannot be restored, ask whether a refund is available and what policy applies.
- Check the rules for your location. If the first response does not address the issue, point support to the storefront’s current terms and consult the consumer-law guidance that applies where you live. Rules in one country do not necessarily apply in another.
What affects the likely remedy?
When you contact support, be clear about five distinctions: whether you bought the comic, rented it or had subscription access; whether the problem is an account or technical issue, a delivery failure or a catalog/rights removal; how long ago you bought it; whether a downloadable copy or replacement is available; and your country and purchase channel. These facts help identify the relevant policy, but they do not establish a universal refund rule across platforms.
