You can save supported Patreon audio and video for offline playback in the Patreon app. For an audio post, you may also be able to download the file if the creator allows it; eligible podcast episodes can be played in another podcast app through a creator-enabled private RSS feed. These are different options—not a universal way to export every Patreon post.
Choose the download method that fits the post

Patreon documents these routes, but not a general export method for every kind of post, such as text, images, embedded media, or video files as reusable files. Patreon’s app audio guidance and app feature guidance describe app-based offline playback.

Save audio or video in the Patreon app
Use the Patreon mobile app to download supported member audio and video posts for offline playback. The app also provides settings for automatic downloads, removing finished downloads, and choosing video download quality. Menu labels and availability can vary by app version or device; Patreon’s Using the Patreon app help page describes the app’s Library and download settings.
- Open the Patreon app and sign in to the account with access to the post.
- Open the creator’s post and use its download or offline control, if available.
- To manage app downloads, open the Library or account settings and adjust automatic downloads, finished-download deletion, or video quality as needed.
Offline downloads are for playback in the app; they should not be treated as exported media files. Patreon’s app-specific feature information is available in its audio listening help.

Download an uploaded audio file when the creator permits it
Some uploaded audio posts offer a direct file download. Patreon says this is enabled by default for uploaded audio posts, but creators can turn it off in their audio settings. Open the audio post and look for its download option. If none appears, the creator may have disabled downloads, or the post may not be an uploaded audio file. Patreon explains the creator-side control in its audio-download guidance.
Listen to eligible episodes through private audio RSS
If a creator enables private audio RSS, you can add the feed to a compatible podcast app. Find the feed in the creator’s membership area. The feed is limited to posts designated as podcast episodes: it does not include other post types such as text, video, or external audio links. This is an alternate listening route, not a feed of every post on the creator’s page. See Patreon’s private RSS instructions.

Keep the RSS URL private. Patreon says the unique link contains an authorization token; sharing it violates its Terms of Service and may result in the link being reset or account restrictions. Treat it like a credential, not a public podcast URL. Patreon’s RSS guidance explains the restriction.

Fix a locked or missing download
- The post is locked: Check that your current membership tier includes it and that you are signed in to the correct account.
- You can open the post but see no audio download: The creator may have disabled file downloads, or it may not be an uploaded audio post. Use app offline playback if available, or ask the creator about access.
- The episode is missing from your podcast app: Confirm that the creator enabled private RSS and that the post is designated as a podcast episode. Other Patreon post types do not appear in the feed.
- Access changed after cancellation: What remains available depends on the membership’s billing type. Patreon recommends checking the post and membership details or contacting the creator if access appears incorrect. See its locked-post and membership-access help.
Use downloaded content within the creator’s terms
Patreon’s Terms of Use, last updated May 27, 2026, describe access as a limited, revocable license for private, personal, non-promotional, non-commercial use, subject to payment of applicable charges. They also prohibit using creations in ways the creator has not authorized, including sharing them with people who did not purchase the relevant offering or subscription. A download option does not grant permission to redistribute or republish the content. Read the Patreon Terms of Use for the full terms.
