Yes—Elanat WebForms Core documents a way for server-side C code to participate in an interactive HTML page. Its architecture pairs a server-side language class with WebFormsJS, a JavaScript runtime in the browser: the server returns commands, and the browser applies them to the page. The project’s repository lists a C implementation, but the available documentation does not establish a verified, runnable C setup or deployment.
What “building a web page with C” means here
In Elanat WebForms Core, the page is still HTML, and the interactive changes are applied in the browser by JavaScript. C runs on the server side through a WebForms class: it receives a request, prepares a response of WebForms commands, and sends that response back. WebFormsJS interprets those commands and changes the page’s DOM.

The project describes WebFormsJS as “the client-side runtime of WebForms Core.” Its documentation covers commands for changing styles and attributes, updating text, adding or deleting elements, and handling form submissions. WebFormsJS project documentation and the WebForms Classes repository describe the client and server sides.
How a request changes the page
- Start with HTML. The page contains the elements you want to display and a form or other interaction. The project’s documented workflow includes the WebFormsJS script in the page.
- Send user input to the server. When the user submits the form, the server-side implementation receives the submitted data.
- Build a WebForms response. The server returns commands in a documented INI-like response format that begins with
[web-forms]. - Apply the commands in the browser. WebFormsJS reads the response and updates the relevant HTML elements in the DOM.
This separates responsibility: HTML provides the page structure, server code handles request-side work, and WebFormsJS performs the requested page updates in the browser. The C# example in the server-classes README illustrates this general sequence; it is not a C example.

What the project documents about C—and what it does not
The WebForms Classes repository identifies itself as the back end and lists a C directory alongside implementations for languages including C++, Go, Java, Node.js, PHP, Python, and Rust. That is evidence that the project lists a C implementation, not proof that a particular C program has been built or deployed successfully.
The repository’s prominent worked example is in C#, and the available C-specific material does not establish the C implementation’s functions, compilation steps, server integration, operating-system requirements, or a complete runnable deployment. There is therefore not enough verified information to give a reliable C code sample or exact build commands. Readers should treat those implementation details as unconfirmed rather than infer them from the C# example.

How this differs from Microsoft ASP.NET Web Forms
Despite the shared name, Elanat WebForms Core is not Microsoft ASP.NET Web Forms. Microsoft’s documentation describes a distinct ASP.NET model built around .aspx pages, server controls, and page directives. Those instructions do not explain how Elanat’s WebForms classes or WebFormsJS work. See Microsoft’s ASP.NET Web Forms overview and ASP.NET 4 Web Forms getting-started guide for that separate framework.

What to verify before starting a C implementation
- Inspect the C directory in the WebForms Classes repository for its actual API and current instructions.
- Confirm which web server or request-handling environment the implementation expects.
- Check its compiler, operating-system requirements, and dependencies against your machine.
- Trace how the implementation receives form data and emits the expected
[web-forms]response. - Build and run a complete example before relying on it for a deployment; a repository listing alone does not establish a working production configuration.
The WebFormsJS repository documents installation with npm install webformsjs. That is a documented package-install option for the browser runtime; the available information does not establish whether it is the required or preferred distribution method for a particular C setup.
