Macrium Reflect documents an option to add its own recovery environment to the Windows boot menu. The available Hasleo product information does not establish whether a Hasleo recovery entry can coexist with Macrium’s, so do not assume both entries will work just because both programs are installed. Check the instructions for your exact versions, then restart and test each entry. Keep bootable USB or DVD rescue media as a fallback.
What the boot-screen entries do—and what they do not prove
A boot-menu entry is a way to launch a recovery environment when Windows starts. It is separate from the backup images themselves, and seeing an entry does not prove that it can load successfully or that another vendor’s entry will remain intact.

Macrium’s documentation describes adding its own recovery option through its rescue-media workflow. It does not say that this option is guaranteed to coexist with a Hasleo entry, nor does it establish what either installer does to the other product’s boot configuration. Macrium’s Windows Boot Menu help describes its own option; its support article likewise explains adding a Macrium recovery choice.
What is documented for each product
| Question | Macrium Reflect | Hasleo Backup Suite |
|---|---|---|
| Is an internal Windows boot-menu recovery entry documented in the sources here? | Yes. Macrium describes adding its own recovery environment to the Windows boot menu. The v7.2 guide lists controls to add, remove, and view its configured entry; those labels are version-specific and should not be assumed to match a newer release. Macrium Reflect v7.2 User Guide. | Not established by the product overview checked. Hasleo describes backup, restore, and cloning functions, but that page does not confirm an internal boot-menu entry or its coexistence with Reflect. Hasleo Backup Suite product overview. |
| Can the recovery environment be started independently? | Macrium documents rescue media on CD, DVD, or USB, using Windows PE to recover partitions, disk images, or individual files. Macrium rescue instructions. | Not stated in the cited product overview; consult instructions for the installed version. |
| Is coexistence of both products’ startup entries guaranteed? | Not established. | Not established. |
How to check your installation safely
- Identify the exact releases. Find the installed versions of Reflect and Hasleo Backup Suite, then consult each product’s instructions for those releases. Do not treat Macrium v7.2 menu labels as current instructions for every version.
- Confirm Hasleo’s recovery-start options. Check whether your installed Hasleo release offers a Windows boot-menu recovery option and what its documentation says about adding it. The Hasleo overview cited above does not answer that question.
- Prepare recovery media separately. Create each product’s recovery environment or bootable media using that product’s instructions. Macrium says its rescue media can be created on CD, DVD, or USB and recommends physical boot media in case the operating-system disk fails.
- Restart and inspect the menu. Confirm that the expected choices appear. If one is missing, do not assume the other product can repair it; return to the relevant version-specific instructions.
- Test each choice before relying on it. Select each entry in turn and confirm that it loads the intended recovery environment. Avoid starting a restore unless that is what you intend to do.
- Keep independent boot media available. A Windows boot-menu entry depends on being able to reach that menu. Macrium specifically recommends USB or DVD rescue media for situations where the system disk fails.
Why separate USB or DVD rescue media matters
If Windows or the system disk cannot start, an internal boot-menu entry may not be reachable. Macrium’s guidance recommends physical rescue media for this failure case. Its Windows PE instructions describe using a booted rescue environment to recover partitions, full disk images, or individual files. Independent media is therefore a useful fallback even if both startup entries appear and pass your tests.
