Yes. LiveReacting documents importing a video from Google Drive into its File Manager, then using that video in a prerecorded broadcast to YouTube. The import requires the Drive file to be shared as “Anyone with the link” with viewer access. Once the video is imported, you can connect a YouTube channel and start the broadcast or schedule it.
What you need before importing
- A finished video stored in Google Drive.
- A LiveReacting account and access to its File Manager and prerecorded-video workflow.
- A YouTube channel you can connect to LiveReacting.
LiveReacting’s import instructions require link-based viewer access to the source file. Before changing sharing settings, consider whether anyone with the link should be able to view the video. The setting is needed for the import, but it also changes who can access the Drive file through its link. See LiveReacting’s guide to uploading files from a link.

How to import a Google Drive video and stream it to YouTube
- Set Drive access. In Google Drive, open the video’s sharing settings, set general access to “Anyone with the link,” and make sure the permission is Viewer. Copy the share link.
- Import the file. Open LiveReacting’s File Manager, paste the copied link, and choose Import. LiveReacting documents importing an individual file and a shared folder.
- Create a prerecorded-video broadcast. Start a prerecorded-video project and add the imported video. Follow LiveReacting’s step-by-step broadcast guide for the project setup.
- Connect YouTube and configure the broadcast. Connect the YouTube channel, then enter the broadcast details such as its title and description and set the duration as prompted.
- Choose when it runs. Start the broadcast now or schedule it. LiveReacting’s settings guide says YouTube broadcasts can be scheduled up to two weeks ahead and that the selected time uses the device’s time zone. Confirm the displayed schedule and current plan availability in your account, since plan-specific limits can change.
LiveReacting says the broadcast runs on its cloud servers, so after launching the workflow you do not need to keep a dedicated hardware encoder or your local computer running. Its prerecorded-video product page describes the cloud-based workflow.

What the Google Drive link setting means
“Anyone with the link” is a practical import requirement, not a private transfer setting. Anyone who obtains the link may be able to view the file under the permission you selected. If the video should remain restricted to specific people, reconsider using this import route or use content that is appropriate for link-based access. After importing, check your Drive sharing settings and adjust them if you no longer need the link to be broadly accessible; do not assume that changing access later will affect a copy already imported into LiveReacting.

Scheduling, local equipment, and hybrid scenes
Scheduling ahead
LiveReacting’s settings documentation states that YouTube streams can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance and that scheduling uses the device time zone. Check the time zone and the scheduled event details before confirming. Availability and limits may depend on the current plan.
Computer and equipment
For the basic Drive-to-prerecorded-broadcast workflow, the video is imported and streamed from LiveReacting’s cloud servers. You do not need a webcam, microphone, capture card, or hardware encoder just to play the prerecorded file. LiveReacting’s cloud workflow is described in its YouTube live settings guide and its guide to streaming a prerecorded video before the actual live.

- Take it with you on your adventures—up to two-meter drop protection means this durable drive can take a beating. (Based on internal testing.)
- Secure it to your belt loop or backpack for extra peace of mind thanks to the tough rubber hook.
- From Sandisk, a brand professional photographers trust to take on assignments.
A webcam or microphone is relevant only if you want to move from prerecorded footage into a live camera scene or otherwise add live input. That is a hybrid production setup, separate from importing and streaming a Drive video.

Other ways to present a prerecorded video on YouTube
LiveReacting’s comparison guide discusses YouTube Premiere, OBS with a media source, and cloud streaming as different approaches. They are not interchangeable in every respect: consider whether the video must play while your own computer is off, whether you need a scheduled broadcast, and whether you want a live-event presentation with chat. The exact options and platform behavior can change, so check current YouTube and OBS documentation before choosing a different workflow. For this specific Drive-to-cloud workflow, LiveReacting documents the import and broadcast steps above.
