Yes. CameraFi Live’s Android guide lists both YouTube as a streaming platform and video files as a source you can add to a broadcast. The documented workflow is to select YouTube, sign in, then add the local clip from the app’s Video source controls. CameraFi’s guide does not specify every playback detail, so test the clip in your installed version before scheduling a stream.
How to add a video file to a YouTube broadcast
- Select YouTube: On CameraFi Live’s home screen, choose YouTube and complete the app’s login flow.
- Add the clip: In the broadcast interface, open the swipe menu and choose Video. CameraFi’s guide lists video files among the available sources.
- Select the source: Use the source controls to select or switch to the clip while preparing the broadcast. The guide also describes a source switcher for changing sources during a broadcast.
- Check it before going live: Confirm that the intended file is selected and that it plays as expected in your installed app. The official guide documents the source workflow, but not a dedicated end-to-end walkthrough for a local file sent specifically to YouTube.

What to check before you schedule the stream
- File support: The official pages reviewed do not specify supported video formats or maximum file size or duration. Try the exact file in the installed app rather than assuming it will be accepted.
- Playback behavior: The pages do not say whether a clip stops after one pass or loops. Check how it behaves in a test before relying on it for a scheduled broadcast.
- Resolution: Google Play says available video sizes vary by platform and smartphone model. The listing identifies Android 5.0 or later as compatible and shows an update date of September 17, 2026. Check the CameraFi Live Google Play listing.
- YouTube eligibility: Account-specific live-stream restrictions are not established by CameraFi’s app guide. Check the Live controls in your current YouTube account before planning the broadcast; CameraFi’s general FAQ is dated February 4, 2020. CameraFi’s FAQ.
- Rights to the video: Make sure you have the rights needed to broadcast the clip on YouTube. The CameraFi documentation establishes how to add a file source, not whether a particular video is cleared for streaming.
Do not confuse RTMP input with streaming a local file
CameraFi’s June 30, 2026 Android update describes RTMP input as a separate beta feature for receiving an external RTMP feed. It is not required to add a video file from your phone and is not the same thing as sending a broadcast out to YouTube. See CameraFi’s update information.
