An AI-generated 3D portfolio is only a genuinely reusable project if you can inspect its files, run it outside the builder, and change both the portfolio content and the scene. The available product examples describe prompt-driven Three.js and React Three Fiber sites, but they do not independently verify the exact generator named in the original title or establish what its export contains. Treat “full source code export” as a claim to check, not a guarantee.
What an AI 3D portfolio generator is meant to create
Some vendors describe tools that turn prompts into interactive portfolio sites built with Three.js or React Three Fiber. Their examples feature WebGL scenes that respond to scrolling or user input. Those are vendor descriptions of their products, not a guarantee that every AI portfolio builder uses the same technology or produces the same result. VULK, for example, describes its generated scenes as interactive browser-based work, while SEELE also presents prompt-led website creation.
Three.js and React Three Fiber can be used to build 3D scenes that run in a browser; WebGL is the browser graphics technology used to render such visuals. A 3D effect may give a portfolio personality, but it does not by itself make a portfolio effective. The page still needs to make the creator’s work, role, and contact information easy to find.
What “full source code export” should mean
A downloadable code archive is not necessarily a portable, maintainable project. Before relying on an export, check that it includes the application source, configuration, package or dependency files, and any images or 3D assets the page needs. Then confirm that the project can be installed, run, and built outside the generator, without a proprietary runtime or a continuing builder account.

- Content editing: Can you update project titles, descriptions, images, and contact details without rewriting the 3D scene?
- Scene editing: Are the scene components and interactions readable enough for a developer to adjust?
- Dependencies: Are required packages and setup steps documented?
- Portability: Can you run and deploy the project independently of the service that generated it?
- Rights: Do you have permission to use the bundled models, fonts, images, and client materials?
One comparable vendor says its React/Vite project can be exported to GitHub or ZIP and has no proprietary runtime. That is the vendor’s claim about its own product, not confirmation of the exact generator in the title. Inspect the actual export and test it locally before treating “full source” as evidence of independence from the builder.
Three practical paths to a 3D portfolio
| Path | What it offers | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Prompt-based AI builder | Vendors describe prompt-driven generation of interactive Three.js or React Three Fiber portfolios. VULK and SEELE are examples. | Export contents, local run and build, editing workflow, usage rights, mobile behavior, and whether hosting depends on the vendor. |
| Open-source code-first template | A public Next.js portfolio repository documents Three.js and React Three Fiber, editable content files, reduced-motion support, and a Vercel deployment path. The repository describes that specific project. | Whether its structure and design suit your work, and whether sample assets and content are licensed for your intended use. |
| Hosted portfolio builder | Can offer a managed way to publish a portfolio, depending on the product. | Whether it provides source export at all, what remains editable, and what happens to the site if you stop using the service. The cited examples do not establish features for hosted builders as a category. |
The repository’s documented features belong to that particular template; they are not evidence that every Next.js portfolio supports reduced motion or offers the same deployment process. Likewise, vendor feature descriptions are not a comparative performance test.

How to evaluate an export before committing your portfolio
- Inspect the archive. Look for source files, asset folders, configuration, and dependency manifests. Note whether any required files or services are missing.
- Follow the included setup instructions. Install dependencies and start the project locally using the documented commands. If there are no instructions, ask the vendor how to run the export independently.
- Build it without the editor. Run the project’s documented production build. A working preview inside a builder does not prove that the exported project builds on its own.
- Change a portfolio item. Update a title, description, and image, then check whether the process is understandable and repeatable.
- Test the experience on a phone. Check readability, navigation, loading, and whether interaction remains usable on a smaller screen.
- Check reduced-motion behavior and accessibility. Verify that essential information remains available when animation is limited, and that the 3D scene does not obscure navigation or content.
- Confirm deployment and rights. Determine whether you can deploy from the exported project in your own workflow, and review licenses for all bundled assets and any client work you include.
These checks help distinguish a project you can continue developing from a polished preview that is difficult to maintain. They are evaluation criteria, not results from testing the exact generator.
Website source export is not 3D asset export
Downloading the site’s source code and exporting a 3D scene as a standalone asset are separate operations. Three.js documents USDZExporter as an addon that takes a scene and produces USDZ. Its options include visible-object selection, texture limits, Quick Look compatibility, and animation data. A USDZ file does not replace the website application, its configuration, or its other assets.

What the available product claims do—and do not—establish
VULK reports that portfolios accounted for 3.0% of 11,355 apps on its platform in July 2026, and that the median time for a builder to ship a first project after signup was 47 seconds. These are vendor-reported platform figures, not independent market statistics or measured results for the generator named in the title. They do not show how long a finished portfolio takes to refine, whether its export builds locally, or how much manual cleanup it needs.
For a creator, the useful comparison is practical: how portable the source is, how easily the content can be updated, whether the scene supports the story rather than distracting from it, how the page behaves on phones and with reduced motion, and how much cleanup is needed before publishing. The available examples illustrate possible features; they do not establish a category-wide winner.
