Yes. A qualifying channel can raise money for an eligible nonprofit through YouTube Giving, which offers a Donate button and, when live chat is enabled, Live Chat Donations. For personal creator support, use a suitable external payment link in a YouTube placement where viewers can click it. These are different routes: YouTube Giving is for nonprofit fundraising, not documented as a way to collect personal tips.
Choose the right kind of donation

Super Chat and Super Stickers are separate from nonprofit donations. YouTube says Super Chat for Good has been replaced by Live Chat Donations; when Live Chat Donations is used, Super Chat and Super Stickers are turned off for that stream.

Can your channel use YouTube Giving?
YouTube’s current eligibility guidance says a channel must be based in a supported location, have at least 10,000 subscribers, be in the YouTube Partner Program, and not be designated as made for kids. The fundraiser must also be for an eligible nonprofit. YouTube notes that some channels may appear to have access outside the listed requirements, so treat the published criteria as the standard rather than assuming every unusual case is impossible. Set up donations on a scheduled livestream
For an eligible nonprofit fundraiser
- In YouTube Studio, add a YouTube Giving fundraiser to the scheduled live stream, following the fundraiser controls available for your channel.
- Check that the fundraiser has started and that the content is not designated made for kids. YouTube lists start time and made-for-kids settings among reasons a Donate button may not appear.
- If you want donations in chat, enable live chat. Viewers should see the Donate button in chat; viewers using a mobile device may need to view chat in portrait orientation.
- If live chat is not enabled, YouTube says the fundraiser’s Donate button appears next to or below the stream.
- Preview the live watch page and verify the button in the stream format and on the devices your audience is likely to use. YouTube’s setup guidance describes the feature, but does not promise that a Donate control will remain available without interruption throughout a 24/7 broadcast.

For personal creator support
- Choose an external payment destination whose terms, country availability, fees, payout schedule and tax obligations you have checked directly with the provider.
- Add its URL in a clickable YouTube location. Channel profile links are clickable; a channel can have up to 14 profile links, with the first featured prominently. See Manage your YouTube channel’s profile.
- YouTube’s link guidance also allows clickable URLs in live chat and channel descriptions for horizontal live streams. Those links are not clickable in the mobile app’s vertical live feed. Clickable external links in long-form comments and descriptions require advanced features access. Check YouTube’s guidance on sharing links for current placement rules.
- Test the link from the audience’s likely devices and stream format. Make clear that the destination is external and that payment is not processed by YouTube.
- Ensure the destination complies with YouTube’s external links policy. YouTube prohibits links directing users to content that violates its Community Guidelines; see the external links policy.
What changes when the stream runs 24/7?
The donation setup does not turn a continuous broadcast into a guaranteed continuous payment feature. YouTube’s help pages explain where the Donate button may appear and how to use Live Chat Donations, but they do not guarantee uninterrupted button availability for every 24/7 stream configuration. A continuous prerecorded-video stream also does not change what the money is for: YouTube Giving is for eligible nonprofit fundraising, while personal support requires a suitable external destination. Ensure the video and any links comply with YouTube policies; donation tools do not exempt a stream from them.
