Both Browshot and Urlbox can capture a full webpage through a hosted API. Urlbox exposes a full_page option and documents stitching, native capture, and controls for scrolling; Browshot uses size=page and documents full-page captures up to 15,000 pixels high. The practical choice depends on how your pages load, the output dimensions and format you need, the browser or region you require, and the total cost for your workload. No side-by-side capture test is available here, so test representative pages before committing.

How each service captures a full page
Urlbox: stitch or native capture
Urlbox’s documented default is stitch mode. It scrolls the page, captures multiple sections, then joins them. Scrolling to the bottom first helps lazy-loaded items appear and lets the service estimate the final page height. You can disable the preliminary scroll with skip_scroll; that may reduce render time, depending on the page.

For stitch behavior, Urlbox documents controls including scroll_increment, scroll_delay, max_sections, max_section_height, allow_infinite, max_height, scroll_to, and full_width. These let you adjust how the page is traversed and bound capture work. A native mode uses the browser’s built-in full-page capture and is faster according to Urlbox, but the vendor cautions it may not work as well on every site. Treat these as vendor-described behaviors, not a guarantee for your pages. Urlbox full-page documentation

Browshot’s API uses size=page for a full-page screenshot and documents a maximum height of up to 15,000 pixels. Its request options include a post-load delay, viewport dimensions, max_wait, custom headers, cookies, scripts, and CSS-selector targeting. POST data is documented for paid screenshots. Long pages, lazy loading, and sticky content
These details are often more important than the headline full-page option. A page may reveal images only when scrolled into view, load more articles as you reach the bottom, or keep a navigation bar fixed over the viewport. A capture can technically be full-page but still omit content, repeat a sticky element, or stop before an infinite feed is complete.
- Lazy-loaded elements: Urlbox’s default stitch workflow scrolls before capture specifically to help lazy content load. With either service, check that the target page’s images and sections have actually appeared in the output.
- Sticky or fixed elements: Urlbox says stitch mode attempts to account for fixed and sticky elements. Verify whether headers, menus, or floating controls are repeated or obscure content in your own output.
- Infinite scroll: Urlbox exposes
allow_infiniteand related scroll controls. Decide how much content to capture and set sensible limits; an unbounded feed may not have a stable end. - Very tall pages: Urlbox limits section count, section height, and total height through documented controls. Browshot states a maximum full-page height up to 15,000 pixels. Confirm that the service’s limits and your output format cover the actual page.
Before choosing, test at least one genuinely long page and one page with lazy-loaded or sticky content. Compare missing sections, duplicated elements, final dimensions, and whether the capture finishes within your application’s acceptable time. No controlled comparison establishes that one service performs better across sites.
Dimensions and output formats can constrain the result
Urlbox documents a default maximum height of 4,096 pixels per stitched section. For a detected full-height background scenario, its documentation describes an adjustment to a 1,024-pixel maximum section and viewport to avoid distortion. Its documented maximum image dimensions vary by format: 65,535 × 65,535 pixels for JPEG and 16,383 × 16,383 pixels for WebP. The documentation recommends PNG for full-page captures where those limits matter. Confirm the current limits and test the format you will deliver, especially for unusually tall pages. Browshot’s documented full-page height is up to 15,000 pixels. The cited documentation does not establish a directly comparable set of format-specific image dimensions, so check the current API reference for your intended output. Browshot API documentation

Browser, geographic, and request-state requirements
Browser and region
Browshot’s feature page describes real browsers, virtual device options, private browser instances, and geographic IP choices. It lists Europe (Germany), the UK, the US, and Australia; availability can depend on the account, so confirm the region before building around it. The reviewed Urlbox materials here do not establish a comparable geographic list. Check Urlbox directly if region-specific rendering is a requirement. Browshot features
Cookies, headers, and page setup
Browshot documents custom headers, cookies, scripts, CSS, and CSS-selector targeting, as well as viewport and delay inputs. Those controls can matter when a page requires a session, custom user agent context, or a particular element to be targeted. Urlbox’s documented full-page controls focus on scrolling and capture dimensions; verify the API options for any additional request-state requirements before deciding. Integration patterns and operational needs
Urlbox
Urlbox documents render links that can be embedded directly, plus synchronous and asynchronous JSON API requests. The right pattern depends on whether your application needs the image response inline or can accept a job-and-retrieval workflow. Its documentation also covers PDF and other output types beyond screenshots. Urlbox documentation

Browshot
Browshot documents API requests, screenshot status lookup and retrieval, and an optional callback for finished or failed captures. This supports workflows where a render may take longer than a normal web request. Its feature page also lists Perl, Python, and Ruby libraries, hosted screenshots and thumbnails, and S3 upload. Urlbox’s pricing page currently lists the following monthly plans. These are vendor page listings accessed in 2026, not guaranteed quotes; prices exclude VAT, and complex render scenarios can consume additional credits. Render accounting can depend on duration, file size, and advanced features, so a nominal render allowance is not necessarily your all-in cost. Urlbox pricing
| Urlbox plan | Listed monthly price | Listed render allowance or terms |
|---|---|---|
| Lo-Fi | $19/month | Up to 2,000 renders |
| Hi-Fi | $49/month | Up to 5,000 renders |

Browshot describes premium browser use as credit-based and offers credit purchases, but the reviewed feature information does not establish a current public price per full-page capture. Do not infer a per-render price or conclude that either service is cheaper from the available figures. How to choose without guessing
- Build a representative test set. Include a short page, a long page, one with lazy-loaded content, one with sticky elements, and any page using infinite scroll or a login state.
- Set the required output. Record viewport, expected full-page dimensions, format, and whether you need PDF or an image. Check height and format limits against those requirements.
- Test page state. Configure the necessary cookies, headers, scripts, or CSS where supported. Verify that the resulting image shows the intended state rather than simply returning a successful request.
- Check the integration path. Determine whether your application needs an immediate render response, asynchronous status and retrieval, callbacks, or an embeddable render link.
- Estimate monthly total cost. Use your real page mix and volume. Include any credit rules, render duration, file-size effects, or advanced features, then confirm current account terms with each vendor.
Urlbox is a natural candidate to evaluate when configurable stitched full-page capture and scroll behavior fit your pages. Browshot is worth evaluating when its documented browser, device, geographic, or request-state options match your requirements. Those are reasons to test them, not a universal ranking; capture accuracy on your own pages and the current all-in price should decide.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. One GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. It accepts cookie and consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks and CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status with X-Page-Verdict and X-Billed headers. AI agents can use its MCP server tools, including take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf.
