The Fire-Boltt Boltt Evo is worth considering in India if your priorities are a smooth-feeling 120Hz screen and relatively clean Android software for calls, messaging and everyday apps. It is a poor fit if you want 5G, consistently good rear-camera photos, stronger performance or quicker charging. Ashish Kumar’s 91mobiles review, published 1 October 2026, reports a starting price of Rs 10,999; that is a launch-price reference, not a verified current price. The review rates the phone 7.8/10.
Should you consider buying the Boltt Evo?
Consider it for light daily use if the display refresh rate and near-stock Android experience matter more to you than speed or photography. Kumar found the interface smooth at 120Hz in system menus and selected apps, but also reported stutters, app launches taking a little over a second and limits when multitasking in the background. Calls, messages, streaming and social media were the use cases he considered reasonable.

Do not treat the name as an indication of next-generation connectivity: the Boltt Evo is a 4G handset. If 5G, reliable rear-camera results, a lighter phone or faster charging are priorities, compare other models before buying.
What do you get for the reported launch price?

These are specifications reported in the 91mobiles review, rather than independently confirmed against a manufacturer product page. The review is the basis for the product details, observations and test results in this article: Ashish Kumar’s Boltt Evo 4G review at 91mobiles.
How does the display and everyday performance feel?
The 120Hz screen is the clearest selling point
Kumar found scrolling and interaction smooth with the display set to 120Hz in the system interface and selected apps. The panel is HD+ rather than a higher-resolution display, and its stated peak brightness is 600 nits. A 90Hz option is also reported, which may suit buyers who prefer a lower refresh rate.
Basic tasks are a better match than heavy multitasking
The review describes the Unisoc T7250 as adequate for basic use, not demanding workloads. In Kumar’s testing, the phone stuttered and apps took a little over a second to open. He considered calls, messaging, streaming and social networking reasonable, while noting that background multitasking was more limited.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

Treat them as results from that review, not as a guarantee of how every unit or workload will perform.
Are the cameras good?
The camera experience is uneven in the review. Kumar found the 8MP front camera more dependable in good daylight, while the rear cameras struggled to preserve detail and render scenes consistently.

- Rear cameras: The reviewer describes images as oversaturated and soft, with inconsistent exposure. In low light, he observed flare and noise.
- Front camera: Daylight selfies were more reliable in his use, but the review does not establish comparable performance in dim conditions.
If camera quality is a major reason for your purchase, inspect recent sample photos from the exact model and compare them with alternatives rather than relying on the 50MP figure alone. Megapixel count does not resolve the review’s reported issues with detail, exposure and low-light results.

The phone has a listed 6,000mAh battery, but the 91mobiles review’s PCMark battery result was 10.7 hours. The page describes that test as running from 100% down to 20%, so it is a specific test result rather than a promise of screen-on time in everyday use. Kumar also observed a 24% battery reduction during one hour of video streaming and gaming.

Charging is a more obvious drawback: Kumar reports that charging from 20% to 100% took more than three hours with the phone’s 18W charging setup. A compatible charger is said to be included, but the review’s charging observation suggests the large battery will require patience.
How does it compare with the named alternatives?
Kumar names Lava Virat V1 5G and Fire-Boltt’s Boltt Ace as alternatives. His comparison says the Lava cost roughly Rs 2,000 more than the Boltt Evo’s reported starting launch price and offered 5G, with better performance and results in several camera scenarios in the review. These are contemporaneous review comparisons, not verified current prices or a full independent comparison across configurations.

Quick Recap
What are the main trade-offs?
- Reasons to consider it: 120Hz display setting, relatively clean Android 16 experience and a review-reported starting launch price of Rs 10,999.
- Reasons to look elsewhere: 4G-only connectivity, reported stutter and slow app launches, inconsistent rear-camera results, more than three hours to charge from 20% to full in the reviewer’s test, and a reported weight above 230g.
