To solve the Veytharion Temple laser puzzle in Black Ops 7 Zombies, aim the Nexus Forge at Veytharion, use rain to collect the Woven Sash, complete the Titan Trap sacrifice, then raise and align the Main Chamber dial with the left barrier wall. After defeating the Shadow Souls, charge a purple orb beneath Veytharion’s head and strike the center of its forehead with fresh Astral Flame while it is raining. Lightning hitting Veytharion confirms the cleanse.
What you need before starting
This puzzle is part of the Rex Infernus quest, and it depends on earlier progress. Before beginning the temple sequence, have these items and steps ready:

- A repaired Nexus Forge.
- A Pack-a-Punched Warden’s Blight with charged shots.
- A Void Claw, used to pull purple orbs.
- The blue well opened by completing the earlier stone-block puzzle.
The blue well is important because it triggers rain. Rain is needed to retrieve the Woven Sash and later to land the final Astral Flame strike. Death Perception can help you find the hard-to-see sash, but it is not described as a required quest item.

1. Aim the Nexus Forge at Veytharion
At the Nexus Forge, turn the inner, middle, and outer cranks on the pillars until they face Veytharion’s Sanctuary. Look for a blue beam entering Veytharion’s mouth; that is the alignment cue.

If the beam does not appear, use the lever beneath Pack-a-Punch to reverse the crank direction, then realign the pillars.
2. Trigger rain and collect the Woven Sash
Interact with the blue well in Veytharion’s Sanctuary and wait for rain to begin. The Woven Sash is collected during a drop past an out-of-bounds ledge, not as a standard item sitting on a platform. Hold the interact button as you fall past a possible pickup point.

- On the northwest ledge at Aranea Insula.
If you cannot see the sash, make sure it is raining and try holding interact while dropping past each location.
3. Burn the sash and complete the Titan Trap sacrifice
Take the Woven Sash to the central brazier in Veytharion’s Main Chamber. Next, pull a purple orb toward the Nexus Forge and Pack-a-Punch area without touching it. Turn the Forge cranks to create Astral Flame, then use the flame on the brazier to produce a misted zombie.

Escort that zombie to Veytharion’s Passage. Activate the Titan Trap when the zombie is between the Titan’s fists so the trap crushes it. A voice line after the crush is the reported confirmation. If no line plays, the walkthrough advises using another misted zombie at the matching trap.
4. Open the plate and raise the dial
Interact with the stone plate in front of the brazier, then jump on it repeatedly until it opens. The dedicated walkthrough estimates about 30 jumps, so keep going if the plate has not opened yet.

Once the dial is revealed, hit it with a charged Warden’s Blight shot to raise it. Wait until the disc is floating and the beam is visible before feeding it zombie souls.

5. Aim the beam at the left barrier wall
Shoot the dial’s inner ring with Warden’s Blight to adjust the beam in small increments. Aim it at the wall behind the zombie barrier to the left of the brazier. The outer ring moves the beam farther per shot and is easier to overshoot, so use the inner ring for finer control.

When the beam is aimed at the correct wall, kill zombies near the raised dial to feed souls into the beam. The wall should break open and reveal a statue. If it does not crack, adjust the inner-ring aim before spending more souls.
6. Defeat the Shadow Souls
Shoot the exposed statue to start the encounter. Defeat the four Shadow Souls, then shoot the same statue again. An Abomination appears afterward; the dedicated walkthrough says killing it is not necessary for this step.
7. Charge the orb and cleanse Veytharion
Use the Void Claw to pull a purple orb into Veytharion’s Passage, just before the stairs and directly beneath Veytharion’s head. Charge the orb with Warden’s Blight until Veytharion’s mouths glow purple. If they remain dark, move the orb closer under the head and charge it again.

Draw fresh Astral Flame from the Nexus Forge and shoot the middle of Veytharion’s forehead. Lightning striking Veytharion is the completion cue. If the cleanse does not trigger, check that rain is active and aim at the center of the forehead.
Quick puzzle sequence
- Align the Nexus Forge until its blue beam enters Veytharion’s mouth.
- Trigger rain at the blue well and collect the Woven Sash while dropping past a ledge.
- Burn the sash at the Main Chamber brazier and sacrifice a misted zombie in the Titan Trap.
- Open the plate, raise the dial, and aim its beam at the left barrier wall.
- Feed the beam souls, defeat the four Shadow Souls, and shoot the statue again.
- Charge an orb beneath Veytharion’s head, trigger rain, and hit the forehead with fresh Astral Flame.
