To solve the Dravakar Temple laser puzzle in Black Ops 7 Zombies, expose the chamber dial by replating armor on the square floor plate, raise it with a charged Warden’s Blight shot, and aim its beam at the southeast wall above the Mystery Box. Kill zombies beneath the dial so their souls feed the beam and break the wall; then shoot the revealed statue and defeat the Shadow Souls.
This laser sequence is one stage of the Dravakar temple cleanse in the Rex Infernus quest. It comes after the Blacksmith’s Hammer offering and the misted-zombie Titan Trap step. The detailed steps below are described in third-party walkthroughs; Activision’s Black Ops 7 guide index confirms the game’s Zombies content but does not provide this puzzle walkthrough.

Complete the steps that unlock the dial
- Reveal the Blacksmith’s Hammer. Align the Nexus Forge pillars toward Dravakar so the channeled light enters the temple head. Equip Shatter Blast and go to Dravakar Inner Sanctum. Trigger Shatter Blast against the corner shields until one reveals the hammer. If it does not appear, make sure the shield is hit by a Shatter Blast kill.
- Make the misted-zombie offering. Carry the hammer to the brazier in Dravakar’s Main Chamber. Bring Astral Flame from the Nexus Forge and ignite the brazier. A nearby zombie should take on a white or blue mist.
- Complete the Titan Trap step. Lead the misted zombie to the Titan Trap outside Caltheris Passage and activate the trap while the zombie is inside it. A completion sound and the trap deactivating signal success.
Raise the dial and aim the beam
- Expose the dial. Return to Dravakar’s Main Chamber and interact with the square floor plate. Stand on it and apply armor plates repeatedly until the plate lifts and reveals the circular dial. One walkthrough specifies three replating actions; if that does not work in your match, continue replating while standing on the plate.
- Raise the dial. Shoot the exposed dial with a charged Warden’s Blight shot. The charged shot is the stated method; an uncharged shot is not.
- Point the beam at the correct wall. Shoot the dial’s ring in small adjustments until the beam hits the southeast wall above the Mystery Box location. One walkthrough says shots closer to the dial’s outer edge have a stronger directional effect than shots near its center, which can help with fine adjustments. There is no fixed shot count or angle established for every match.
Feed souls into the beam and clear the encounter
- Kill zombies in the footprint beneath the raised dial. Their souls should travel along the beam toward the wall.
- Keep the beam aimed at the southeast target and continue feeding it zombie souls until the wall cracks and opens, revealing a statue or stone head. If it does not break, check both the target and whether souls are visibly traveling through the beam.
- Shoot the revealed statue to start the Shadow Soul encounter, then kill the spawned Shadow Souls around the chamber. One walkthrough counts four; the other instructs players to clear the spawned group.
- After clearing the Shadow Souls, shoot the statue again to end the lockdown and continue the quest.
Continue the Dravakar temple cleanse
The next step uses the Void Claw or Void Talon to pull a purple orb beneath the head of the temple in Dravakar Passage. Raise the orb into the head with a charged Warden’s Blight shot. The cleanse also requires rain: if it is not raining, interact with the fountain unlocked by the Veytharion puzzle to cause rain on the next round. During the rain, shoot Astral Flame directly at the orb in the head to trigger the lightning strike and cleanse Dravakar Temple.

Fix common laser-puzzle problems
- The hammer does not appear: Check that the shield was hit by a Shatter Blast kill.
- The dial does not rise: Use a charged Warden’s Blight shot on the exposed dial.
- The wall stays intact: Confirm the beam is aimed at the southeast wall above the Mystery Box and kill zombies in the area beneath the dial so their souls enter the beam.
- The beam is difficult to align: Make small adjustments. Shooting nearer the outer edge may have a stronger directional effect, but the walkthroughs do not give a universal number of shots or a fixed angle.
- You are aiming at another wall: This is the Dravakar chamber dial; other Rex Infernus temples can use different wall targets.
- A different quest puzzle has changed: Some Rex Infernus puzzle inputs can be randomized between matches. Use the in-game clues rather than assuming every quest answer is a fixed code.
The dial procedure is corroborated by two walkthroughs, while the broader Zombies context is supported by Activision’s guide index. These walkthroughs may not reflect later game updates, so patch-sensitive behavior can change.
