Neither builder is established as universally better. Choose Bluehost if you want an AI-generated WordPress site within a Bluehost hosting bundle; choose Wix Harmony if you want to move between requests to its Aria AI agent and hands-on visual editing. That is a feature-based fit, not a verdict from an independent head-to-head test.
How the two builders work
Bluehost: AI creation within a WordPress and hosting bundle
Bluehost describes its AI Website Builder as a WordPress-based workflow. Its setup guide says the builder asks up to five tailored questions about an industry before generating a site. Bluehost also describes AI-generated copy and visuals, with site management in a WordPress-oriented environment. See Bluehost’s setup guide.

The paid Get Online plan is presented as a bundled service: Bluehost lists hosting for one website, a one-year domain, domain privacy for one year, SSL, CDN, weekly backups, and malware detection and removal. These are plan inclusions described by Bluehost; check the current checkout for eligibility and terms. The product page also lists a 14-day trial. Bluehost’s product page
Wix Harmony: prompts alongside visual editing
Wix announced Harmony on January 21, 2026, as an editor that combines natural-language site creation and visual controls. Aria, Wix’s AI agent, can receive requests such as changing a palette, redesigning a page, or adding commerce capabilities. Wix says users can inspect changes in the editor and continue editing visually. Those are vendor-described capabilities, not independently measured results. See Wix’s Harmony announcement and its site-creation guide.
Wix developer documentation also lists generating content, redesigning pages, configuring product catalogs and booking systems, and providing SEO guidance among Aria’s tasks. The documentation describes available tools; it does not establish the quality of their output for a particular site. Wix developer documentation about Aria

What you can do before paying
Wix says you can start building for free without a credit card. Its page says a Premium Plan is required to connect a custom domain, accept online payments, or access additional features. Check the plan details for the exact features your site needs: Wix’s AI builder page.
Bluehost lists a 14-day trial and a paid Get Online plan. Its U.S. product page displayed Get Online at $9.99 per month when reviewed on October 7, 2026; this is not a guaranteed price for every location, billing term, promotion, or renewal. Bluehost’s help guide also showed monthly billing at $15.99 and annual or 24-month pricing at $9.99 in its reference table. These displayed figures have different billing contexts, so compare the actual checkout total and renewal terms rather than treating $9.99 as a universal monthly rate. Bluehost advises checking renewal rates in its Renewal Center. See the product page, help guide, and Bluehost’s comparison page.
The reviewed Wix materials establish the free-start and paid-plan requirements, but do not provide a comparable current plan price. Do not infer that Wix is cheaper from its free starting option; compare the plan needed to publish your site, connect your domain, and take payments.

What this comparison cannot establish
The official materials describe product features and workflows, but do not establish which builder produces better-looking sites, is easier to use, ranks better in search, performs faster, or costs less over time. No independent controlled comparison was available for those outcomes. Bluehost’s own comparison page is vendor-authored, so its comparative claims should be read as Bluehost’s positioning rather than neutral testing: Bluehost’s comparison.
For a practical decision, list the features you need to launch, then check each provider’s current plan, billing period, renewal price, and feature availability in your region. The documented distinction is the workflow: Bluehost’s WordPress-and-hosting bundle versus Wix Harmony’s combination of Aria and visual editing.
