Its contents, price and warranty depend on region, so check the exact package before buying.
What does the Designer 725 do well?
The strongest independent results available are for ice and smoothies. RTINGS rated ice crushing 9.8 and reported that the tested blender produced uniform, snow-like crushed ice in under a minute. It rated single-serving smoothies 9.1 and also reported strong results for multiple-serving smoothies. These are RTINGS’ results for its tested unit and recipes, not a guarantee for every ingredient or batch. RTINGS’ Blendtec Designer 725 review also describes the blender as sturdy and easy to clean.

Its controls are a notable part of the design. Blendtec Europe lists a 100-speed capacitive touch slider, Pulse, six programmed cycles, an illuminated display showing remaining time and an Add 10 feature. Blendtec’s product sheet describes SmartBlend as detecting potential loading errors, overheating or air pockets and prompting the user to correct them. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent proof that the system prevents every blending problem. Blendtec Europe’s Designer 725 listing and Blendtec’s Designer 725 product sheet provide the feature details.

Nut butter takes more effort
RTINGS found that the main jar struggled to make smooth nut butter. If nut butter is a frequent task, that result is a more important buying signal than the broad promise of a high-powered blender: expect that thick mixtures may be difficult in this setup.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Hot Soup is not direct hot blending
RTINGS reports that the blender cannot blend ingredients that are already hot. Its Hot Soup program can warm room-temperature ingredients as it blends, but the tested result was not steaming hot. Do not treat that preset as permission to pour hot ingredients into the jar.
The lid is a weak point
RTINGS describes the tested unit’s lid as flimsy. Its multi-purpose score was 7.1, reflecting a more mixed result across tasks than its ice and smoothie scores.

What comes with the CTB3?
There is no single box-content list that applies to every Designer 725 package. Blendtec Europe lists a motor base, BPA-free jar with vented Gripper lid, and quick-start guide and recipes. RTINGS’ tested package included a personal jar and a Blendtec GO personal bottle with related parts. These descriptions refer to different listings and configurations; confirm the seller’s exact contents rather than assuming the personal accessories are included with every CTB3.
RTINGS lists its tested main jar at 90 ounces total capacity and 36 ounces blending capacity, alongside a personal jar. Total jar volume is not the same as the usable blending capacity, and those figures describe RTINGS’ configuration, not necessarily every regional bundle.

How much does it cost, and what warranty applies?
CHOICE’s public Australian CTB3 listing describes the blender as a “High performance blender, priced at $1299,” or A$1,299. The public page does not state the price’s publication year; its detailed performance scores and pros and cons are members-only, so they cannot support further claims about CHOICE’s test results. CHOICE’s public CTB3 listing is the source for that Australian price observation.
Blendtec Europe’s product page displayed €879–€899 when accessed in 2026; treat that as a volatile regional listing, not a current universal price. The applicable warranty also varies by region. Blendtec’s current US warranty table lists eight years for parts and eight years for labor for the Designer 725, subject to US/Canada residential-use terms. It excludes commercial use and purchases from unauthorized sellers. Blendtec Europe separately advertises an eight-year warranty. Check the terms that apply in your country and to the seller you use. Blendtec’s warranty information sets out the US terms.

Is the Blendtec Designer 725 worth it?
It is a strong candidate if crushed ice, smoothies, preset controls and easier cleanup are priorities. The evidence is less favorable if your main jobs are smooth nut butter or blending already-hot ingredients. For a broader comparison, RTINGS found that the Vitamix 5200 handled fibrous ingredients, nuts and hot blending better, while the tested Blendtec was easier to clean and came with a personal jar. That is a reviewer-specific comparison, and package contents can vary by region.
