Skyline is a Core 6v6 map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, set on a luxury resort rooftop overlooking Avalon. Its key tactical choice is whether to contest exposed ground around the Pool and Kitchen, take longer sight lines from above, or use the underground Duct to move beneath the Pool and reach the Panic Room. The layout below follows the official Call of Duty Skyline map guide, published August 27, 2024; its weapon and loadout suggestions may not reflect later balance changes.
How Skyline is laid out
The map’s named spaces include the Lounge, Kitchen, Gym, Pool, Garden, Roof, Office, and Panic Room. Outdoor paths and rooms connect at different heights, while the Duct provides a route below the main level. Rather than treating the Pool as the center of every fight, use these landmarks to choose between exposed crossings, elevated angles, and the underground path.

- West side: The Helipad is a spawn area. The Lounge planter offers nearby cover, and second-floor Office landings overlook this side. The Terrace links the outdoor dining area to the building.
- Pool side: The Kitchen sits beside the Pool. Its central bar top gives cover from the Pool, but is exposed from both sides. The Gym faces the Pool through glass; cover is available near the pool table or stationary bike, and stairs lead to the Corridor.
- Garden side: The Garden connects toward the Roof, Kitchen, and Bedroom. Its nearby deck and protruding stone wall offer ways to shape sight lines.
Why the Pool is dangerous—and still matters
The Pool is exposed to sight lines from above and below on three sides, according to the official guide. Avoid crossing or holding it as though it were protected ground. At the same time, it is a consequential objective area: Domination’s B flag and the first Hardpoint zone are located there.
When your team needs to contest or hold the area, support from the second level can make the position more manageable. The practical distinction is between taking an unsupported angle at ground level and coordinating with a teammate who can cover from above; the guide describes the layout but does not quantify which approach performs better.

How to use the Duct and reach the Panic Room
The Duct is the below-map route for crossing beneath the Pool and reaching the Panic Room. The official guide describes two ways into it: from the Lounge Elevator, or by moving furniture in the Bathroom. From there, the route connects to the Panic Room.
- Enter the Duct from the Lounge Elevator or through the Bathroom furniture opening.
- Follow the underground passage to cross under the Pool or continue toward the Panic Room.
- For the Panic Room itself, use the secret bookcase entrance or arrive through the Duct from the Elevator route.
The Panic Room is small and defensible, with two entrances, so keep its close quarters in mind when entering. The Call of Duty guide puts it plainly: “Prevent panic: That’s what the Panic Room is for.” It recommends a close-ranged weapon and using the underground route to avoid the Pool and Kitchen. That is a situational suggestion from the August 27, 2024 guide, not a guarantee of success or a current weapon-balance ranking.

What the Office security panel does
Interacting with the security panel in the Duct activates security measures that shut down two Office access points. The guide says the desktop computer in the Office can activate the same procedure. Because this changes access rather than simply providing another path, consider whether your team needs those Office entrances before triggering it.

When to take the Roof, Garden, or Office routes
Roof: a longer view toward the Corridor
The low wall at the back of the Roof provides a view toward the Corridor. It is set back from the Pool, so it offers a longer sight line without placing you directly on the exposed objective. Use it when you want to watch that route; it is not the same as controlling the Pool.

Garden: shape the approach
The Garden has three forward paths. The protruding stone wall can help shape your sight lines, while the Fire Pit deck gives a ground-floor view. These features make it a place to manage an approach rather than an automatically safe position: pay attention to which of the three paths opponents can use.
Office: use the Lounge piano ramp
The official guide notes that the grand piano lid in the Lounge can serve as a ramp for vaulting into the Office. This is a route option alongside the Office’s other access points, whose availability can be altered by the security procedure.

How to treat the guide’s loadouts
The official map guide presents three example concepts—Hold the Line, Cannonball, and Wallflower—including Assault Rifle/Strategist and SMG/Enforcer setups. They are illustrative suggestions, not demonstrated best builds. Weapon and perk balance can change, so choose equipment for the route and engagement distance you expect rather than assuming a 2024 recommendation remains optimal.
