Bing is reportedly testing a blue hover effect on its “People also search” keywords. Search Engine Watch described the change on October 6, 2026, based on a reporter’s observation—not a Microsoft announcement of a general rollout. The report does not establish who can see the treatment or whether it changes user behavior.
What changes in the reported Bing test?
Search Engine Watch reporter Sachin Patel observed that Bing’s “People also search” keywords appeared blue when hovered over. Patel said the terms had previously appeared underlined in grey and sometimes blue. The report describes an observation, not a controlled comparison between interface versions.

What does Bing say about search suggestions?
Microsoft’s general support documentation explains that Bing uses natural-language generation trained on query sets to help predict a user’s intended query. It also notes that enhanced features can depend on whether a query is suitable. That background describes search suggestions generally; it does not confirm or explain the reported blue hover test.
