First, what does “YouTube 24/7 streaming” mean?
There are two different needs behind this phrase. YouTube TV and other live-TV subscriptions let you watch television channels over the internet. Is YouTube TV’s trial available to everyone?
No. YouTube TV says new subscribers may be eligible if they have not previously redeemed a free trial. The length can vary by plan or offer, so the five days shown on the plans page should not be treated as a guarantee for every account. A card authorization may appear when you sign up.
What happens when the trial ends?
Unless you cancel before conversion, the account changes to a paid membership and YouTube TV charges the standard plan price plus any subscribed add-ons. Check the renewal date and cancellation status in your account rather than relying on a reminder or assuming a trial will end without billing.

What if you cancel during the trial?
YouTube TV says cancellation during the trial does not immediately remove access: you keep the service’s features until the trial period ends. Confirm the cancellation in your account and retain any confirmation shown.
How to choose the right TV trial
- Check your local lineup first. Enter your ZIP code where the service offers a location-based channel check. YouTube TV’s broadcast, cable, and regional sports lineup depends on location; Hulu also says local, regional, and national live channels vary by area and may change.
- Match channels to what you actually watch. Make a short list of must-have sports, news, and entertainment channels, then check each service’s lineup for your area. A large channel count does not help if the channels you need are missing.
- Compare the post-trial total. Look beyond an introductory offer: check the standard recurring price, taxes if applicable, and any paid add-ons. For YouTube TV, the listed main-plan price is $82.99 per month; confirm the amount at checkout because offers and plan details can change.
- Record the trial end date. Note when paid billing begins and decide whether you want to continue before that date. Review the account’s cancellation status if you opt out.
- Confirm device support. YouTube TV says it works on supported streaming media players, smart TVs, and game consoles. Check the service’s compatibility information for your specific device; a device category alone does not confirm every model.
