Will a Bluetooth headset work with PS5?
Do not assume a Bluetooth headset can connect directly to PS5 for game audio. PlayStation’s PS5 FAQ, published in 2020, says third-party Bluetooth wireless headsets are unsupported, while most USB and analog headsets are supported. It says headsets using a 3.5 mm jack, USB-A, or USB-C can use 3D Audio. Because that guidance dates to the PS5 launch period, confirm the exact headset model’s current PS5 instructions as well.
For the models in this shortlist, wireless console audio uses a USB adapter or transmitter: PlayStation Link for PULSE Elite, a wireless adapter for PULSE 3D, USB-C dongles for the listed SteelSeries and Razer models, and a USB-A transmitter for the PlayStation Stealth 600. A headset having Bluetooth for phones or other devices does not by itself mean it can pair directly with PS5.

Which PS5 headset lets you hear phone audio too?
The Arctis Nova 7P is the clearest documented option here for mixing wireless 2.4 GHz game audio with Bluetooth audio. That may suit someone who wants phone audio while gaming, but check the manufacturer’s instructions for setup and supported behavior before purchase.

What’s the difference between PULSE Elite and PULSE 3D?
PULSE Elite: PlayStation Link and a retractable microphone
PULSE Elite connects to PS5 with its included, pre-paired PlayStation Link USB adapter. PlayStation lists planar magnetic drivers, a retractable microphone, and up to 30 hours of battery life. Its product information qualifies 3D Audio as available in supported games; the driver type and battery claim do not establish an independent sound-quality advantage.
For setup, insert the included adapter into a PS5 USB Type-A port, then press the headset’s PlayStation Link button, following PlayStation’s connection instructions.

How to choose among the third-party options
SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7P Wireless
Choose this model to investigate if mixing 2.4 GHz game audio with Bluetooth audio is a priority. SteelSeries lists PS5 and PS4 compatibility through a USB-C dongle, Tempest 3D Audio compatibility, and 38 hours of battery life. Those are manufacturer-listed features, not comparative test results.
Razer Kaira models
Check the full model name: Kaira and Kaira Pro are separate variants, and features or battery claims for one should not be transferred to the other. Razer lists up to 30 hours for Kaira. For Kaira Pro, it lists up to 50 hours without lighting and haptics, or 11 hours with them. These manufacturer figures describe different configurations and are not directly comparable with one another or with other brands’ claims.
Turtle Beach Stealth 600 PlayStation version
Confirm that the listing is specifically for the PlayStation version. Turtle Beach says that variant works with PS5 and PS4 through a wireless USB-A transmitter. Xbox-specific versions should not be treated as interchangeable. The cited product information does not establish a sound, microphone, or comfort advantage.
